Nissan, Wayve and Uber plan robotaxi collab in Japan | Nissan

Nissan, Wayve and Uber have signed a MOU on the development of autonomous robotaxis in Japan. A pilot program on Uber’s network will use the all-new Nissan LEAF powered by Wayve AI Driver tech. The pilot robotaxi service is set to kick off in Tokyo by late 2026.

The collaboration in Japan marks the next chapter of innovative mobility solutions, bringing together Wayve’s AI technology, Uber’s network, and Nissan vehicles in real-world applications that offer people new ways to move about.
