My 6000w E-Bike vs 2000w Build – Is it even Close?
6000W vs 2000W electric hub drive comparison. In this video I ride and test a 6000 watt e-bike against a 2000 watt build to see what triple the power actually feels like in the real world.
We do rolling acceleration runs, hill climbs and side-by-side pulls to see how much difference there really is between a high-power e-bike and a lower power setup. It’s not just about top speed — acceleration, torque and battery sag make a huge difference to how these bikes actually ride.
The 6000W bike is running a 65V CYC battery, which is a pretty unusual setup for a hub motor. As far as I know, I haven’t really seen anyone else running this combination before, so it was interesting to see how it performs compared to a more typical build.
This bike is also currently being raffled, and at the time of filming there are around 300 entrants, with the raffle ending very soon.!
