The Chevy Equinox EV is already one of the most affordable electric vehicles, but with a 20% discount, it’s even more tempting.
Chevy Equinox EV discounts hit $10,000, 20% off MSRP
With the 2027 model year on its way, the 2026 Chevy Equinox EV is a steal this month. After offering a $5,000 discount on 2026 Equinox EV models in January, Chevy is doubling this month with up to $10,000 in total cash allowance.
That’s 20% below the $45,895 MSRP for the 2026 Equinox EV RS. The deal includes $8,750 in customer cash, plus an additional $1,250 in conquest cash. Those who lease a 2021 model year or newer vehicle or own a 2012 model year or newer non-GM vehicle can take advantage of the conquest bonus.
Although the max $10,000 discount is only available on the RS trim, Chevy increased the savings on the LT 1 model to $6,500 and the LT 2 to $8,000.

With the $6,500 customer cash discount, the lowest-priced 2026 Chevy Equinox EV LT 1 FWD model now starts at just $30,295.

At that, it’s only slightly more expensive than the new 2027 Bolt EV, priced from $28,595. It also keeps the Equinox EV among the most affordable electric vehicles, alongside the new Bolt and the Nissan LEAF.
The cheapest 2026 Chevy Equinox EV LT 1 (FWD) offers up to 319 miles of range, compared with 262 miles for the 2027 Bolt and 303 miles for the new Nissan LEAF.

The Equinox also offers more interior space, with up to 102 cubic feet of total passenger volume. To give you a better idea, the Bolt has about 96.6 cubic feet, and the LEAF offers roughly 92 cubic feet.
Not only that, but the electric Equinox features a 17.7″ touchscreen infotainment, the largest in its class. The Bolt has an 11.3″ infotainment, while the LEAF offers a standard 12.3″ display. Higher LEAF trims get a larger 14.3″ screen.

What about when compared to the Hyundai IONIQ 5 (also available with a $10,000 discount this month) or Tesla Model Y?
While both offer more cargo space and performance, the Equinox EV beats them both on price. The cheapest 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 SE RWD Standard Range trim starts at just $35,000, but it offers a 245-mile range. The SE RWD delivers a range of up to 318 miles and starts at $37,500.

The Tesla Model Y RWD has an EPA-estimated range of 321 miles and starts at $39,990. Chevy’s electric Equinox features a bigger (17.7″) screen than both the IONIQ 5 (12.3″) and Model Y (15.4″).
While the IONIQ 5 features standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, they are not available on the Equinox EV or Model Y.

With Google built in, the Chevy Equinox EV still offers access to Google Maps, EV-specific routing and charging locations, and hands-free Google Assistant.
Hyundai is offering 2026 IONIQ 5 leases starting at $259 for 24 months, with $3,999 due at signing. Again, that’s for the standard range model. The SE RWD trim is available to lease for $269 per month.
The lowest-priced 2026 Chevy Equinox EV LT 1 FWD, with the same $3,999 down, costs $380 a month for a 24-month lease.

Chevy has the 2026 Equinox EV FWD LT with LT1 and the convenience package listed for $259 a month for 39 months with $4,029 due at signing. You can also opt for 0% APR financing plus an extra $1,250 purchase allowance for those who own or lease a 2012 model year or newer non-GM vehicle.
For a 24-month lease with $3,999 due at delivery, the Tesla Model Y RWD costs $549 a month. Even the Chevy Bolt EV is more expensive to lease than the Hyundai IONIQ at $477 a month for 24 months with $3,999 down.
Which one are you choosing? GM still calls the Chevy Equinox EV “America’s most affordable 315+ mile range EV,” and it seems to be. However, when it comes to leasing, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 appears to have it beat this month.
