This interview is interesting as Alan Clarke did give some new clues about Fords new EV mid size truck.
Some key takeaways from the interview
- The truck bed size will be the same as the Maverick and will be able to fit a 4×8 sheet of plywood and a 6' individual should be able to reach over the side and reach the bottom of the bed
- No more 12v system and is going to be a 48v system. With the addition of the E-box that handles the electrcal conversion you would think it may not have a 12v or 48v accessory battery that claims alot of known issues with EV's.
- They do have a name picked out but is not revealed.
- There will not be FX4 or Raptor trim levels.
- Battery pack is going to be 58kwh LFP battery pack tackling the hardest of the battery chemistry first. 300 mile range was mentioned
- Aerodynamics will be 15% more aerodynamic than the Maverick.
- Mirror will not have moving glass but 1 actuator to move the housing instead.
- Target release date of mid 2027
- V2H capabilities
