The BAW Luba is a licensed (and in later iterations, often described as an unlicensed) rebadge or clone of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (J90 series)

It was typically powered by a 2.4L or 2.7L four-cylinder engine. Some variants used Toyota-copied technology, such as the 5VZ 6-cylinder engine.

The vehicle utilizes the same body molds as the J90 Prado. It features a rugged body-on-frame construction suitable for off-road use.

A common configuration included a 150 HP engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and part-time four-wheel drive.

Besides the SUV, the platform spawned a pickup version called the BAW Yueling and was sold in some markets like Russia as the BAW Land King.
