Premium Sedan Comparison (Bonus Wagon!): Model 3 vs BMW i4 vs Audi A5 Hybrid

Which premium sedan makes for the best driver’s car? Let’s say you’ve already got an SUV in the garage, does the Model 3, BMW i4 or Audi A5 give you the best enjoyment as a second family vehicle?

Chasing Cars founder Tom Baker compares two EVs and one hybrid in today’s low-riding comparison test of the Tesla Model 3 Premium Long Range RWD, Audi A5 e-hybrid 270kW (which surprisingly turned up as an Avant, not a sedan), and the BMW i4 eDrive35 LCI M Sport.

Our primary criterion is driver engagement as we deliberately assessed these cars as likely to sit alongside an SUV in your garage. We also tested acceleration, braking, pricing, interiors, and real-world range.
