The S-Class is arguably the nicest vehicle on the road, and it has a price tag to match. Its buttery-smooth ride delights drivers, and in plug-in hybrid guise, it’s supremely quick off the line (not that the other trims are slow).

The cabin is the star of the show for this model. Dripping in top-drawer materials and seemingly providing acres of space, this Mercedes’ cabin is nicer than the living room of my first apartment. Heated, ventilated, and massaging seats come standard, and plenty of upgrades are available if you feel like the standard seats are too peasant-y.

The S-Class comes with a 12.8-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless device charging, and the options list includes goodies such as augmented reality navigation, a rear-seat entertainment system with two 11.6-inch touch screens, wireless headsets, a removable rear-seat infotainment tablet, a rear-seat refrigerator, and rear-seat heated and cooled cup holders.
