A fresh three-month extension has been granted to the Electric Vehicle Subsidy program “Kinoumai Ilektrika III” (Move Electric III) following a decision by Greece’s Greek Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. The same decision increases the scheme’s total budget by 3 million euros, bringing overall funding to 60 million euros.
The deadline for submitting new applications is now set for 30 June. However, the ministry notes that the window may close earlier if available funds are exhausted before that date.
Targeted Funding Boost
The additional resources will be directed toward subsidies for vehicles purchased by legal entities (Category B) and for bicycles acquired by private individuals (Category A).
The extension allows individuals, self-employed professionals and businesses to obtain an electric vehicle — either through purchase or leasing — with state support of up to 9,000 euros.
According to the ministry’s announcement, the aim is to ensure the uninterrupted continuation of the initiative throughout 2026 with fresh financial resources.
