Are you in need in some of perking up at the end of a relentlessly long winter? Let us cheer you with the exciting news that Electrifying’s Kilowatt Half Hour podcast has returned.

And not merely returned, but it has been upgraded with some model year tweaks – think new headlights and some trim updates, but it’s still not eligible for any government grants.

There’s a lot to catch up on since the year started, with Electrifying boss Ginny Buckley joined by Nicola Hume and Vicky Parrott to discuss the new set of EVs from the Volkswagen Group (each with their own spicy nickname [the cars, not Ginny, Nicola and Vicky]), the Mercedes-Benz CLA and Polestar 4 among other things.

There’s also a discussion on whether the UK government is missing the point on electric vehicle incentives – should England follow Scotland’s lead and introduce interest free loans that would make secondhand EVs more affordable for more buyers

As ever, reader comments are read out and discussed, including Ginny getting told off by a retired German teacher for her pronunciation of BMW’s Neue Klasse. We made sure that she stayed back after klasse and wrote it all out 100 times so that she doesn’t forget.

The Kilowatt Half Hour is available to watch on YouTube (in fact you watch it below) and can (eventually) be found in all the sensible places you get your podcasts.
