GARDEN GROVE, CA — A pedestrian was injured when a Tesla hit them while merging onto a freeway in Orange County, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 8:23 a.m. on the 22 Freeway offramp near Harbor Boulevard in Garden Grove, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Upon arrival, police said they found a white Tesla, a driver and the injured pedestrian at the scene.
The status of the injured person was not immediately known.
The crash prompted heavy congestion near the freeway off-ramp.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area.
