Is EV servicing cheaper? Real Enyaq service costs exposed
After almost two years with my Skoda Enyaq 85 Edition it was time for the first official Skoda service / inspection.
In this video, I go through the full service checklist, explain what Skoda actually check on an electric car, and—most importantly—what it really costs.
I show you the official service invoice, talk about brake fluid service, cabin air filter replacement, software updates, and why the final bill ended up at £223.38.
I ask the big question:
👉 Is EV servicing really “cheap”?
🔧 What’s covered in this video:
Full inspection checklist (lights, brakes, suspension, HV battery, underbody, software)
Brake fluid service & pollen filter replacement
12V battery health report
Tyre condition & brake wear check
Total cost breakdown (parts + labour)
Comparison to independent non Skoda dealer service pricing
Price variation between dealers

When charging away from home I use the Octopus Electroverse charging card. Sign up via this link for a free £5 credit on charging https://electroverse.octopus.energy/sign-up/magic?referralCode=aglow-prawn-796
I also charge at home using Intelligent Octopus Go, this EV tarriff gives me off peak energy at 7p per kWh for the car and the whole house. It makes charging the Enyaq really cheap. If you’re not already a customer sign up using this link for a £50 credit on your next bill https://share.octopus.energy/aglow-prawn-796
