General Motors has officially launched the 2026 Chevrolet Captiva PHEV in Colombia. This marks the brand’s first plug-in hybrid for the local market, serving as a middle ground between traditional combustion engines and the fully electric Captiva.The model comes in Premier trim with an enhanced package of safety, technology, and comfort features. The Captiva PHEV features a hybrid powertrain based on a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine and a front electric motor. Combined output is 204 horsepower with 309 Nm of torque. Power comes from a lithium-iron-phosphate battery with a capacity of 20.5 kWh.The claimed total driving range exceeds 1,000 km (646 miles). Sales have already begun through Chevrolet’s network of over 90 dealerships in Colombia. Pricing is set at 154,990,000 Colombian pesos, which translates to approximately $42,090 USD at current exchange rates. This new version complements the brand’s 2026 vehicle lineup in the local market and is positioned above the fully electric Captiva model.
