The Peugeot 1007 was created with the ambitious goal of combining the compact dimensions of a minicar with the extraordinary versatility of a full-size MPV, which was intended to make life easier in crowded cities. Its absolutely most important features became the electrically operated sliding doors and versatile rear seats, thanks to which getting in was hassle-free even in the tightest parking spaces. However, despite its innovative design and huge interior space, the car became a sales flop due to its high price, excess weight, and the failure rate of its electronics, which led to the premature end of production.
