Tesla Cybertruck Interior: Minimalist Is the Operative Word
If you think the TeslaCybertruck looks outrageous from the outside, wait until you see the inside of the Cybertruck, because it’s pared down to a fault; the Cybertruck’s interior follows the pattern of other Teslas: modern, stark, and tech-laden. It demands a learning curve, but Tesla fans will find it familiar and easy to grasp. Let’s look at its quirks, special features, space, and standard equipment.

A 9.4-inch touchscreen is standard for the second row on the top two trims, and can also be used to view movies or play games.
Comfort and Space
What does the inside of a Cybertruck look like in terms of passenger space, considering that the dramatically receding roofline suggests that it will rapidly diminish toward the rear? There’s lots of space up front, and here’s the interesting thing about the Tesla Cybertruck interior: back seat comfort and space remain surprisingly good, despite the dramatic profile. There’s sufficient room for people up to about 6 feet, and only after that does headroom start to get tight, but legroom is plentiful. There are many storage options, including a covered bed with under-floor storage, flip-up rear seats (below left), and a roomy frunk. This is how the numbers shake out:

There’s supposed to be a base RWD without a rear touchscreen and a more basic audio system as well, but Tesla currently lists only the AWD and Cyberbeast.

Tesla Premium Connectivity is standard on the Cyberbeast. It provides LTE cellular data for features beyond basic navigation, enabling satellite maps, live traffic, streaming music and video, web browsing, Spotify, Netflix, karaoke, and remote viewing of Sentry Mode via the Tesla app. Otherwise, you would have had to rely on Wi-Fi or your phone hotspot for some of the features.
The Downsides
The cabin of the Cybertruck is severely minimalist, and this will not suit everybody. Almost everything is relegated to the center touchscreen, and it doesn’t even have a digital gauge cluster for the driver, as you’ll find on a Model X. The yoke-style steering wheel will also not be to everybody’s liking, but at least the steer-by-wire system provides a far quicker ratio, so you don’t have to take your hands off the “wheel” so much in sharp turns. The rear-wheel steering also handily tightens the turning radius. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also still notable by their absence. Last of all, rear vision is nonexistent with the bed cover closed.

Colors and Materials
The Cybertruck’s interior pictures don’t convey the full effect of the tech-forward cabin, and the trim and colors have been selected to suit. The interior is black, but you can choose between Tactical Gray or White for the decor. All trims have textile door pocket and footwell trim and wraparound ambient lighting. The Cyberbeast gets a Cyberbeast cabin graphic.

Final Thoughts
The Tesla Cybertruck’s cabin won’t be everybody’s cup of tea, but it’s roomy, comfortable, and full of toys and tech, so it will keep the Tesla faithful happy. It’s also surprisingly practical, all things considered, with lots of storage room, including under the bed and in the frunk, plus a bed that can be secured by an electric cover. You’ll have to get used to the yoke and steer by wire, but it works better here than on a Model X’s slower steering, and if you’ve used other Teslas, you’ll find your way around the infotainment system soon enough.
