YouTuber DennisCW had bought a Tesla Model Y Performance back in December.

While it was a cause for celebration, there was one thing Dennis wanted to fix before he proceeded any further.

And he urged others to follow suit.

What adjustment was this YouTuber recommending people get on their new Tesla?

When it comes to buying a new car, you’ll take a lot into consideration.

There’s cost, there’s space, and a whole host of other factors to take into account.

But DennisCW, an automotive YouTuber, was approaching the purchase from a different angle.

He’s made videos in the past about his Tesla Model Y, whether it’s discussing the ride quality or comparing it to the older version.

This time around, he was dishing out some advice to others who were contemplating buying a Tesla.

“The first thing that I always recommend is fixing your Tesla from the factory,” he said.

“Sometimes […] the alignment is completely wonky, right off the bat.

“You’d be surprised that this could be messed up from the factory.”

To fix his car’s alignment, he took it to Unplugged Performance.

When given the choice between street and track use, he opted for a street-focused setup for daily driving comfort.

Is the alignment a common issue for Tesla drivers?

This isn’t the first time that somebody has advised getting a Tesla aligned when it’s brand new.

Over on Reddit, somebody urged fellow owners to get this seen to immediately.

“I just spent about $1000 on new tires and an alignment because my Tesla was misaligned from the factory,” they wrote.

Other users echoed this sentiment in the comments section.

“Mine was misaligned from the day I bought it. After 3k miles the back tires were shredded,” one person wrote.

“Funny you should say that. My wife noticed our Tesla pulling hard to the right 10 minutes after taking delivery. We pulled that sucker right around and forced them to align it,” another commented.
