Thoughts on later T-birds?

I am 21 and recently bought this 1972 thunderbird from a gentleman down the road who was getting rid of it for a good price and I haven't seen many like it around. I wasnt sure if they were too popular at the time or not or if people just arent the biggest fans of them in general. Id love to hear the community thoughts!
