JAKARTA – The latest plug-in hybrid crossover (PHEV), Geely Galaxy M7, was officially introduced in China. This model offers an electric range of up to 225 kilometers, with fuel consumption claimed to be only 3.35 liters per 100 kilometers.

Launching from Carnewschina, Monday, February 2, the Galaxy M7 is the second product in the Geely Galaxy M series, following the flagship crossover M9. Previously, Geely Galaxy M7 had applied for a sales permit in China in December 2025.

Talking about design and dimensions, this SUV is said to have similarities with the gasoline-powered Geely Atlas (Boyue L). The interior leak also appeared in China ahead of the official debut.

Geely began warming up the launch of its new SUV by sharing official images as well as a number of technical details of the Galaxy M7. In appearance, the Geely Galaxy M7 comes in black, carrying a covered front fascia combined with sharp main lights and an elongated LED strip.

The SUV is also equipped with a large trapezoidal air intake, conventional door handles, multi-spoke wheels, and a model-integrated taillight. The roof line is slightly sloping with a rear spoiler that looks carved.

Entering the cabin area, the Galaxy M7 adopts a large-sized floating touch screen and an LCD instrument panel behind the steering wheel. In the middle tunnel there is a 50W wireless phone charging pad, a physical control block, and two cup holders.

The SUV is also equipped with integrated speakers in the A-pillar, a face recognition camera on the driver’s side, ambient lighting, to crystal knobs. Geely revealed that the Galaxy M7 uses an Aegis Golden Brick battery that carries a flexible double separator and a heat-resistant aluminum oxide layer.

Last year, the manufacturer even demonstrated the robustness of the battery pack by destroying it using a 36-ton tank. According to the company, M7 also supports DC fast charging.

In full electric mode, the SUV is capable of traveling up to 225 km, while its combined mileage is claimed to reach 1,730 km in a driving cycle that is not detailed. With the battery almost empty, the fuel consumption is recorded at 3.35 liters per 100 km.

The Geely Galaxy M7 itself falls into the mid-sized SUV category with dimensions of 4,770 mm long, 1,905 mm wide and 1,685 mm high, and a wheelbase of 2,785 mm. The car is powered by a 1.5-liter engine code BHE15-BFN which produces a maximum power of 82 kW or equivalent to 110 hp, with a peak speed of 180 km/h.
