PA Auto Show continued this weekend at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, giving car enthusiasts hands on experience with newest models

HARRISBURG, Pa. — For gearheads the sounds of pistons firing and engines revving is like a sirens song, but at the Pennsylvania Auto Show that song is not just an engine roaring but a battery humming.

The PA Auto Show had a plethora of electric vehicles, EVs, on display this weekend giving grease monkeys a chance to check out the newest models coming off the assembly line.

Over the last few years electric vehicles have become a growing presence on the roads and at the Auto Show. Initially an oddity in the car scene electric and hybrid vehicles continue to grow in popularity.

“As people become more familiar with EVs, they’ve been more accepting and adopting of what the EVs have to offer in terms of fuel efficiency, performance, and everything else.” says Don Perry the chairman of the Pennsylvania Auto Show.

As technology continues to improve the Auto Show gives manufacturers a chance to showcase their latest battery powered inventions. With dozens of cars to choose from the Auto Show gives people a chance to get hands on with the newest models leaving the factories.

“The manufacturers have put a lot of time and effort and dollars into research and development with EVs, trying to perfect the technology and to put more offerings out there to customers.” says Perry, “So the auto show has grown over the years in what people can see and experience within that EV structure.”

Showcasing EV’s from companies such as Ford, Cadillac, and Porsche, the Auto Show has a selection of fuel-efficient eco-friendly rides that don’t sacrifice style for sustainability. And even if you still prefer the roar of an engine there is something for everyone.

Melanie Stein, an Auto Show producer, said “The people who love the old tried and trues, they want their car to make a lot of noise when they turn it on. And so there are people who may never go to an EV and that’s okay. The idea is to give people options to educate them and to find what works best for their lifestyle.”

The PA Auto Show continues on sunday for its final day of 2026.
