DEPUTIES SAY THE 12 YEAR-OLD PEDRO LUIS LURED THE VICTIM TO HIS FRIENDS WHO THEN STOLE THE E-BIKE GULF COAST NEWS REPORTER EDWARD FRANCO HAS THE STORY. >> THE LEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYING WHILE RIDING HIS ELECTRIC AND DIRT BIKE JUST OFF PALM BEACH BOULEVARD. AND SO GET A AVENUE, A 12 YEAR-OLD BOY STOPPED HIM AND ASKED FOR A RIDE HOME WHEN THEY TURNED THE CORNER DOWN THE AVENUE. HE LED THEM STRAIGHT INTO A FIGHT WITH 2 OTHER MEN, ALL JUST TO STEAL THAT. BUT DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO THE ROBBERY NEAR COOPER’S COURT. AND IF YOU GET A AVENUE ENTICE LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT, INVESTIGATORS SAY THE VICTIM WAS READING HIS BLACK ELECTRIC DIRT BIKE WHEN 12 YEAR-OLD HEATHER LOUISE GOT ON THE BIKE. >> DEPUTIES SAY ONCE THE 2 ARE ON THE BIKE, THE VICTIM NOTICED 2 MORE PEOPLE COME OUT OF THE WOODS NEARBY. THE ARREST REPORT SAYS 20 YEAR-OLD BUT YOUNG LOPEZ, AN 18 YEAR-OLD KYLE LOHSE PUSHED THE VICTIM OFF THE BIKE AND BEGAN PUNCHING HIM. DEPUTIES SAY LOPEZ PUT THE VICTIM IN A CHOKEHOLD WHILE ONE OF THEM REACHED INTO HIS POCKETS AND STOLE HIS CASH LOPEZ AND HOLD THEN RAN OFF. BUT INVESTIGATORS SAY LOUISE RODE AWAY ON THE VICTIM’S DIRT BIKE. Three individuals, including a 12-year-old boy, were arrested in Lee County after they were accused of attacking a man to steal his electric dirt bike late Wednesday night. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred near Coopers Court and Figuera Avenue, just off Palm Beach Boulevard in Tice.Deputies said the victim was riding his black electric dirt bike when 12-year-old Pedro Simon Luis asked for a ride home. As they turned a corner, Luis is accused of leading the victim into an ambush with two other men, 20-year-old Brallan Lopez and 18-year-old Carlos Horta, who emerged from nearby woods.According to the arrest report, Lopez and Horta are accused of pushing the victim off the bike and punching him. Deputies say Lopez is accused of putting the victim in a chokehold while one of them reached into his pockets and is accused of stealing his cash. Lopez and Horta then are accused of fleeing the scene, while Luis is accused of riding away on the victim’s dirt bike.The victim sustained minor injuries, including a cut lip and swelling to his eye. Luis, Lopez, and Horta were later found and arrested.
