LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — You and your whole family can learn how to ride safely on e-scooters and e-bikes from classes offered by the College of Southern Nevada.

The classes are offered at every campus through CSN’s e-bike and e-scooter safety program, made possible by a grant from the State of Nevada.

After a surge in accidents on our roads from e-device users, the program manager of CSN Motorcycle Safety wanted to take action to save lives.

“There was nothing being done for training. I’d see folks looking at e-bikes in the box– and they didn’t even understand what they were getting. The state came out with a grant to kind of address this issue, and I went, ‘we can do that. We can be part of this. We can help,’” said Laurie Sanders.

“We’re in a position where we could really make an impact,” Sanders said.
