Hello,
Drive a 2018 Nissan Rogue, about 80k miles. Have a Duralast Gold battery from Oct 2023, but live in central Texas where I hear batteries don't last as long.
In the last 3 weeks, I've needed 3 jumpstarts, but unsure why, some of them very shortly after 20+ mile drives including highway miles. Took my car to AutoZone after the most recent, they stated the battery was still good, but low on charge.
I hooked up my multimeter and got the following results (pictures attached)
At rest after sitting for a day: ~12V
At crank: ~9.5V
While running with minimal accessories: ~14.5V
While running with maximum accessories: ~14.3V
Only thing I have plugged in that is "aftermarket" is my dash cam through a cigarette lighter port.
My last jumpstart was after driving in the city for 15 minutes, turned my car off in a pharmacy drive through line (terrible choice) for 5 minutes.
I was thinking alternator, maybe the battery isn't getting charged enough? But the above results seem to say no according to my googling. And given that AutoZone said the battery is good.. not sure.
Appreciate any help.
