Amid shutdown uncertainty, Rad Power Bikes has launched its fifth-generation electric cargo bike, the RadWagon 5. Speaking of build, the cargo e-bike comes with an aluminum frame, which can handle a maximum payload of up to 375 lbs (170 kg). This time around, the company has incorporated upgraded brakes and smart features. To be more exact, it now features Tektro hydraulic disc brakes and an RST Guide suspension fork with 45 mm of travel, which is said to offer a comfortable ride on bumpy terrain.

The RadWagon 5 sports a 750 W rear-mounted motor that delivers up to 90 Nm of torque, enabling the e-bike to achieve a top speed of up to 28 mph (45 km/h). A 720 Wh Samsung battery powers the cargo vehicle, which provides up to 60 miles (96.5 km) of range on a single charge. On top of that, the UL-certified battery is armed with safe-shield technology designed to prevent accidents related to overheating.

Furthermore, the 7-speed cargo bike has an LCD display that shows essential information such as speed, battery levels, travel distance, trip time, pedal assist level, estimated remaining range, and more. Smart features include a front 450-lumen headlight with an auto-on feature, passcode protection, turn signals, and a USB-C port for charging.

Available in metallic blue and black color options, the RagWagon 5 is priced at $2,399. Interested buyers can now purchase the cargo electric bike directly via Rad Power Bikes’ official website.
