Va’Shaun Harper rang up a game-high 19 points and Alex Tesla hit a free throw to break a tie with 10.7 seconds left, as Newark Tech defeated Arts, 64-63, in Newark, to end a three-game losing streak.
Tesla, who had 11 points, made 1 of 2 from the line to put the Terriers in front and Newark Tech (8-5) had to make a defensive stand to preserve its win.
Ilijah Adams put in 18 for the Terriers. Zahmir Robinson had two points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Arts fell to 6-5 with its third straight loss.
