The new Xaber 300 is Segway’s clearest statement yet. Inspired by the company’s Dakar Rally prototype, it’s aimed squarely at riders who actually care about how a bike behaves off-road, not just how fast it goes in a straight line. Instead of chasing big horsepower numbers, Segway focused on something more interesting.

Segway claims a class-leading power-to-weight ratio, though exact horsepower figures haven’t been finalized yet. What we do know is that the bike is designed to feel light, responsive, and easy to manage, which matters more than raw numbers once the trail gets rough. It’s not a toy, but it’s not priced like a boutique electric race bike, either. For US riders curious about electric off-road riding, it represents something the segment desperately needs: choice.

Electric dirt bikes are popular because they lower barriers. Segway’s take pushes that idea further by using software not just to limit riders, but to help them ride better.
