Geely Motors Philippines is gearing up for a big 2026, with five new vehicle launches in the pipeline. The first release is set to be a plug-in hybrid SUV, with all signs pointing toward the EX5 EM-i.

This particular model will be Geely’s contender against the likes of the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i and the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM. It will also complement the fully electric EX5, which was released in 2025 as part of Geely’s local resurgence.

Current specs of the EX5 EM-i rate its 1.5-liter engine at 99hp and 125Nm of torque, while the single electric motor makes 218hp and 262Nm from an 18.4kWh battery. When fully charged and filled up, the EX5 EM-i is advertised for 943km with 83km on just the battery.

The next releases are still up in the air, but Geely did confirm that it will offer varying powertrains. With a plug-in hybrid on the way, we should also expect a fully electric vehicle and a traditional combustion-engined car.

Overall, Geely aims to shift around 7,000 vehicles by the end of 2026. To achieve that goal, the Chinese carmaker plans to grow its dealership network to at least 40 facilities throughout the course of the year. A new 4,500sqm spare parts warehouse has also been inaugurated to bolster after-sales services and parts availability.
