CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The Charleston County Coroner has identified the individual killed in a motor vehicle vs e-bike collision on Tuesday.
Sherif Mahmoud, a 36-year-old male from Egypt was identified as the deceased.
According to the coroner, Mahmoud was hit and killed on the Ashley River Bridge at 7:06 p.m. and was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision. Mahmoud was the operator of the e-bike.
The City of Charleston Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
