Ive been in the market for a new ride and there really isnt anything that jumps out at me that i like, especially given the costs of new vehicles. This brought me to looking into my dream truck…a 1968 chevy c10 shortbed. Ive been looking around and have found some really sweet restomods for the 40-50k range with financing options and curious if this would be a reasonable path to take. Of course id have a good chunk of it as a down payment…I mean…if its all modern components it would be just as reliable as anything else right? Would there be any reason why i SHOULDNT taks this path? I dont mind working on trucks, i usually do all my own maintainence such as fluid changes, brakes etc but i wouldnt say im a very good mechanic. Heres a few examples of some trucks ive looked at…
