Mercedes‑Maybach Turns Into a Dolby Atmos Studio – with Finneas & Aron Forbes.

Seeing the ability to actually do
Atmos mixes in the Mercedes, I was like, really, impressed by and excited. Aaron and I met in 2015. My band was playing a show at that venue in Silverlake called a Satellite. My wife was like,
we should go see the show. I think it’s going to be really good.
And we went and saw the show. I met him and,
we just, like, kind of became friends. Aaron already had a resumé of working with artists that I heard of
and was impressed by. 21 Pilots and Banks and Halsey. And so I was, you know, an admirer. If I had just said, no,
I don’t want to go that night, probably never would have met. Which is crazy. Now we’re really partnered up
and everything. We have a studio space we share together,
a publishing company we share together. And so it’s, it’s been a really wonderful
collaborative relationship. I’ve always said it would be so incredible
if I could just keep getting work done in the back seat of a car, see
if I can plug my laptop in, and get stuff done
while I’m sitting in traffic. Man, that’s a huge moment. This kick, right? Yeah. So, I mean, to be totally honest, like,
when I listen to this for the space we were just in,
I turned the kick down a little bit. Yeah. And I immediately feel better. Better about. Yeah, Yeah. Creative intent is something that we all try to pay attention to. Like, right behind us… They’re Like right here. It’s like potentially… What a perfect place
for this tech to exist now – yeah, because we can make decisions
that we know will translate. Absolutely.
And it’s where I like to listen to music. Same. Where you are changes your perspective on everything. Being able to consume things
in different places, like that’s the perspective. And that’s
what’s exciting about the new tech.

Mercedes‑Benz, in collaboration with Universal Music Group and Dolby Laboratories, is introducing a true “mobile creative hub” with “Crafted in a Mercedes-Benz.”

This concept showcases how the rear cabin of a Mercedes‑Maybach can serve as a fully equipped Dolby Atmos sound studio. Artists and producers can plug in their laptops and immediately begin mixing, monitoring and fine-tuning their music — all from the comfort of a Mercedes‑Benz.
The system allows for individual control of the car’s advanced speaker setup, enabling precise audio engineering on the go.

The product was unveiled at an exclusive event at the legendary Interscope Studio in Los Angeles Among the special guests were acclaimed music producers: Multiple GRAMMY®, Golden Globe and Academy Award winning FINNEAS, also known for his work with Billie Eilish, and Aron Forbes, celebrated for his collaborations with top artists, both of whom have already explored the technology and expressed excitement about its creative potential.
