HOLLAND, MI — A 67-year-old man riding an E-bike died after he fell into a road and was struck by a mini-van.
Holland police identified the man as Daniel Eugene Woods.
Polices said Woods was riding the bike north on State Street near 22nd Street, about 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, when he crashed into a trash bin set next to the curb.
He then fell into the roadway.
Police said Woods was slow getting up and, while attempting to get back on the bike, was struck by a northbound mini-van.
Officers attempted life-saving measures, but Woods later died at a hospital.
The mini-van driver, a 34-year-old Holland man, was not injured.
