Currently rewiring a 61 Lincoln

Has anyone replicated or simplified the wiring for the top ? I specialize in automotive wiring and currently working on a 1961 lincoin , the old harness was such in bad shape and was cut up by previous techs. I have the schematics and located all the limit switches and believe I can get it fully working properly with just 6-8 relays. I found a number on the pump to a John cashman. He told me he doesn’t not recommend doing that and just buy a used harness but I feel like it would be hard plus the car is LS swapped. I’m curious if there is people out there who simplified or made a new harness from scratch ?
