Don’t take this on a trip #ford #ev #car #newcar #usedcar #electricford #tesla
I will never understand the argument for EVs. I’m so frustrated right now. I have 93 miles left on 45%. I only have 93 miles, but 45% left. And guess what? I need to charge the car. I went over here to this Target. They got a bunch of chargers according to Google. I specifically went to this one because all the other ones said they were full. So, got out of my way, drove 15 minutes over here. What? They’re full. Guess what’s right over here? A Senokco. I could go to a Sonokco right now. I could go get gas. If this was a gas car, wouldn’t be an issue. I need to drive over 100 miles right now and I got 93 mi. EVs are great for short distance, short trips. You’re rich enough. You got a house and you got a charger. Great for you. Good for you. They’re good enough for you. But when you don’t have a house, you don’t have a way of charging it and you’re you on a trip that you know, normally this would be totally fine. Totally fine. But it’s the winter, so guess what? The range the range sucks. You turn on the heat. Oops. It’s only 73°. Zap. There goes the battery. Cuz you turned on a little heat. You decided that you weren’t going to even turn on the heat. It’s 73°. I got the butt warmer on. I got the the steering wheel. I mean, it’s 37° outside. I’m not trying to freeze my butt off. I just want a tiny bit of heat just to survive. And this is probably the most ridiculous part about the whole thing. Look at this. 16% of my use was from the climate control, 7% from outside, and 7% from charging on my phone. And this is only within an hour. That’s absolutely wicked. Well, at least I found the charger for the wall in the car.
