A Ford at the Tesla Supercharger?
I’m here at a charging station in Austin, Texas. We’re here talking to people about Ford’s electric vehicles. That’s nice to have. I’m Taylor. This is Ford answers questions. How do you feel about like acceleration in EVs? I like quick, not like top speed. So, you’re like not too much. Did you know that there was a GT model of this vehicle that goes 0 to 60 in 3.3 seconds? You said you like fast cars. Have you seen the F-150 Lightning? I have not. And I’ve looked for a truck that’s electric and it’s hard to find a great one. But you didn’t tell me this was an electric vehicle. I would have thought it was a standard F150. Give me your first impressions. Now we’re in here. You seeing this for the first time. Um, I like this. I think this is real cool. It’s real spacious. This is a lot nicer than I expected. Yeah. I love the screen. I love the different AC stuff. Was there anything about this car that caught your eye? First impressions? Yeah. Uh, the color. I like blue. Yes. This is velocity blue. There are also eight different colors in this car. So, you definitely have a range. Are you an outdoorsy type of guy? I love the outdoors. I go camping almost every weekend. So, this truck actually has Pro Power on board and it allows you to power your entire campsite. That’s amazing. My front’s just for decoration. Do you have anything about EV that you’re like, “Gh, I I love it, but I wish this wasn’t a thing or like any pain points.” You sometimes have to stop and charge occasionally. Fords can charge here at these stations, too. Yeah, that makes it even better because I felt like when I was making my purchase decision on the other EV, that was a big factor was like the network and stuff too. And had I known that, it might have been a different story. [Music]
Many Tesla Superchargers, like this one in Austin, Texas, are part of Ford’s BlueOval® Charge Network. But some other EV drivers are still surprised to see a Ford Mustang Mach-E® or F-150® Lightning® pull up and plug in.
