More Toys for the Cabin * Aipas M2 Pro Xterrain Ebike * Pigeon Forge Trails

It’s been a couple years since I bought the cabin up here in Tennessee, and I’ve been slowly adding toys to bring up here for the awesome outdoors. When we first moved in about a year later, we picked up the side by side, then picked up the Corvette Z06 to drive on the mountain roads. Recently picked up this Ford Bronco Raptor. And one of the things I’ve been wanting to pick up for a while was an electric bike to do some off-roading, mountain biking, and so forth. They got amazing parks out here in Tennessee. and I actually rented an ebike not too long ago and we had a blast out at Cad’s Cove. So, over behind the Ravalto here, we got an iPass M2 Pro Xterrain ebike. Let’s get this unboxed and get riding. All right, so we got it out of the box. zip ties off. We got about six parts. You got the front wheel fender, seat, bike rack, and handlebars. I don’t think it’ll take more than just a few minutes to put together. Takes about I don’t know 15 20 minutes to put it together. Probably quicker if you’re better with tools. Basically, all you’re doing is putting the fender and the light on. Turn the bike upside down, put the front wheel on, put the uh back rack on, the pedals, and the seat, and you’re done. to uh turn the bike on or charge it. There’s a little protective flap under here and this is where you turn on or charge. So, I’m going to go and turn this on. And then from there, you turn the display on right here using this button. So, hold that down. Now, you go through its boot mode right here. And this has a ton of settings. Keeps track of your trip, your odometer, your max speed, and your average speeds. You can adjust the pedal assist using the plus and minus. So, as you can see, if you have plus, we got pedal assist 1, two, three, four, and five. And there’s also a light on the front and a rear light. So, you got a switch there for that. Great for riding in uh dusk. And then little horn right there, too. There’s also a brightness button. If you press here, you can change the brightness of the screen. There’s a whole set of settings that you can get into. If you hold down the plus and minus button, you can get into all of these different settings to go through it. To do that, you just press these two buttons right here and then you cycle through the different settings. So, you got uh actually 19 different settings, mile an hour. You could set the sleeve, the tire size, the speed limit, throttle start, um the pedal assist sensitivity, the strength, you can reset the odometer, and you can also mess with the cruise control settings. Another cool feature is actually a USB charging port for your phone on the ebike. Right underneath here, there you can see the USB port. And we just plug in our um cable. And there you go. And now we have a charger for our phone. The M2 Pro also has full suspension. So, you can see down here we got a suspension spring down in the bottom here. And then also adjustable suspension using these knobs up front. Battery got a 48 volt 17,500 amps. It’s IP65 waterproof. This bike will go 85 miles with pedal assist. The pedal assist. And if you’re just using electric, only goes about 36 miles. Max load capacity is actually a lot. This thing will take a 500 lb rider. The bike itself weighs about 90 lbs. Also has a Shimano 7speed indexing gear set. The motor in the back right here is an 1800 watt rear brushless motor. Have front and rear mechanical disc brakes. And there are upgrades for this that you can go to hydraulic brakes as well. You can also upgrade this shock absorber to an adjustable one too. Another feature of the iPass is these bikes can be a little bit heavy. So, if you’re having to push it uphill, it’s got walk mode. If you just hold down the minus button right here, it engages the motor and makes allows you to walk it super easy. All right, here we go. I’m on pedal assist two right now. Picks up speed. Nice. I guess I can bump it up to five. There we go. And we got the gear shifter right here. If we want to downshift, press the or upshift, press the plus button. Got front and rear brakes. Horn works. I got flash to pass. Man, this thing cruises. I’m sitting here barely pedaling, going 20 full power. And if you want to bump it down the power, you go down here. You can change the pedal assist right there. That’s the number three. And you can also use the power over here. And if we want to try some off-roading, there we go. Test out the suspension right here. pretty good. [Music] We are down by Pigeon Forge. You can see the river over here to the right. We can bump up the power. We got pedal assist five now and we’re cruising at 25 pretty easily. I don’t have a helmet on so yeah, I’m not going to go too crazy out here, but this X2 Pro super easy to ride. The seat’s comfortable. And if I want to down downshift, I can uh press step here. And now I’m pedaling a little faster. We got seven gears. So just keep clicking here. The iPass actually has a couple different settings. You can put it on beginner mode. Maxes out at 20 mph. I bumped at full speed and let’s see how hard I can pedal here and see if we can get to the top speed. We got 30, 31, 32, 33, 34. We’re going to hit Yeah, there we go. 36 12 mph. [Music] The 26 in x 4 in uh all-terrain tires do a great job of handling both off-roading and uh on the street. And I’m running about 19 PSI for a good mix of both. [Music] The eight00 watt motor makes climbing hills super easy. All you do is bump up that pedal assist and you climb these pretty steep hills uh with just minimal effort. All right, that’s a wrap of my review of the iPass M2 ebike. I like this thing so much I’m actually going to pick up another one because it’s a lot more fun to ride in twos. iPass is offering a special Black Friday sale.
