Wi-Fi Hotspot and Additional Connected Features
Volkswagen’s connected vehicle services, enabled
by myVW+, are built to enhance your drive, adding features that adapt to your routine,
so your vehicle fits your day, not the other way around. Let’s start with the Wi-Fi Hotspot
feature, a great way to keep passengers connected on the go. Whether it’s streaming, gaming, or
just browsing, passengers can enjoy internet access without using their phone data. For some
models, if you’re subscribed to Wi-Fi Hotspot, you can also enjoy Premium Radio, giving you
access to a plethora of internet radio stations and podcasts, right from your infotainment system.
Explore music, talk radio, and specialty stations from around the world, all without needing to
stream from your phone. With Premium Navigation, stay informed with real-time updates on traffic,
weather, and road conditions to help you avoid delays and plan your trips with confidence. Need a
spot to park or fuel up? Since Premium Navigation uses online data, it can help you locate parking,
gas stations, or EV chargers with better accuracy along your route. Then there’s Premium Speech,
which makes voice control feel more natural. Say things like “I’m hungry” to get directions to
restaurants. It also gives you access to real-time info like sports scores, news, weather, and even
flight status updates. Some vehicles with Premium Speech may be able to recognize nearby buildings
and landmarks. And, if properly equipped, some vehicles with a Premium Speech plan include
generative AI, offering broader responses to more complex questions. You’ll also find myQ
Connected Garage on some models, allowing you to open or close your garage door remotely. And
for select Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport models, there’s the Amazon Alexa in-vehicle app. Using the
in-vehicle app with an active Wi-Fi Hotspot plan, you can control certain Alexa-enabled devices at
home, like turning on a light in your kitchen, right from your infotainment screen. If your
vehicle comes with any included plans, you can view and activate them in the Shop tab of myVW
here. And if there are additional plans available, you can subscribe to them by following the
prompts. With premium plans enabled by myVW+, your Volkswagen becomes even more capable, connected,
and personalized, just the way you want it.
