Surron Ultra Bee vs Talaria Komodo! Which Electric Dirt Bike Should You Buy?
Why did I buy a Siron Ultrabe instead of the Taria Komoto? Because if I didn’t buy this bike, that is what I would have gotten. And I really do think both bikes are awesome, but today we’re going to talk about the key factors that made me pick this one. I know most of you guys are familiar with both bikes, but for those that don’t, let’s do a quick background on each. To start, they’re both midsize Emoto, so they’re in the same class. The Suron Ultrabe has been out since around 2022. This is the second generation of the Ultra B, but the model has been out for a couple years. For the Tari Kamoto, that bike is just coming out. Hasn’t really even hit the US market yet. We’ll get more into the specs later in this video, but these bikes aim to deliver the same thing, and that’s trying to be the best midsize Kimoto out. Even though there are a lot of differences between these two bikes, I feel like they are very comparable. So, now let’s get into why I picked this bike. One of the biggest reasons is I do prefer the way this bike looks compared to the Komoto. And I know that doesn’t really matter, but I feel like that is a big deal. You want to like the way your bike looks, and it’s not that I hate the way the Taria looks. I really feel like Siron killed with its design. It’s a super mint looking machine. Another thing I love about this bike is it does have a great battery size to me. Komodo has that massive 97 volt battery, but it’s only got 45 amp hours. So even though this only has a 74vt battery, the 60 amp hours, I’m thinking in theory should give this better realworld range. And from what I’ve seen of people testing the Komodo, it looks to be true. I know they’re claimed around the same range, but with the battery sizes, it really just doesn’t make sense to me how it could work out. I haven’t had this bike for long, so I can’t really speak on like a real range test that I’ve done, but it seems like you can get over 50 miles on these bikes. So, for me, even though I love the concept of a 97volt battery, it’s definitely tempting. Right now, range is more important to me. Also, another key factor of why I picked this is it weighs about 30 lb less. And for these size bikes, 30 lb is a lot. Not that it’s a deal breaker, but it’s definitely going to make a difference. And one reason I love Emotos is because they are lightweight. I think the Komoto is about 220 lb. And at that weight, I mean, we’re starting to touch 125 gas specs. We just drove by this pawn shop that I always want to check out. They got the most interesting like dirt bikes and ATVs outside. Let’s just go get a look real quick. See what they got. I like this little Polaris quad. This is cool, dude. That place actually looked pretty cool. I’ll come back one day when I’m not in the bike. Check it out. This is a good smooth stretch of pavement right here. [Music] So, another pain point of the Kimoto for me is I didn’t like the rear fender design. You can see the Ultra B. It’s a little short, but just a classic dirt bike fender. I haven’t been on trailer and muddled with it too much yet, so I can’t speak to the functionality, I guess. But from what I’ve seen in other videos, and I can just tell by riding other dirt bikes, this is going to do just fine. Where the Taria one looks very skinny and kind of like my X where it looks like a dirt bike fender, but the functionality is just not going to be there. And also, they put the tail light in a weird spot where I feel like it’s going to get covered by mud or just get covered up very easily. So, not only do I think the overall design of this bike looks better, I think functionality-wise, too, it’s going to perform better. Now, like I said in the beginning of this video, I think the Komoto is an awesome bike. So, real quick, I want to play devil’s advocate on why you should buy the Komoto instead of this bike, or why I would have bought the Komoto instead of this bike. I mean, for one, power-wise, it will be faster out the box. This out the box has 21 kW of power. That has 32. It also has a higher claim top speed. I think it’s near 70. However, with a simple controller upgrade on this bike, I think you can match those power numbers. But then again, a controller upgrade in the Komodo, you could probably go that much higher as well. So, point being, the Komoto is a faster bike. Along with that, even though I prefer the looks of this bike, some are going to prefer the Komoto because like I said, it’s not bad looking. Like, it just looks different. It’s a little bit more ebike, e-oto style, and I don’t even hate that. Even though I didn’t necessarily want it over this, I think it’s cool that Taria is innovating. And for those of you that don’t watch my channel, I do have a Taria X. So overall, I don’t like hate the styling all Tarias have. Uh, and then last thing I should have mentioned earlier, it is going to be about $500 more from what I could tell. And that’s not like $500 difference in retail price. I don’t know what that is. That’s just if you’re going off like Alibaba cuz I messaged a couple people just to see like what a quote would be to the door. And it seem to be around like the $5500 mark where you can get these for like 45 to 5. So I guess I should have put price in the pro category for the Ultra Beak because it is cheaper. But for the extra money, you are getting some more power. So, if you’re looking for the most powerful bike out the box possible, might be worth it. I did just want to add that emoto prices are so variable because I remember the 2025 Ultra B dropped you to pay a premium for them like over $6,000, but now you can get them on Alibaba from a lot of sellers for under five. So, I’m guessing the Komodo will be the same way where I can’t find it at many legit sellers, but ebikezilla had them listed at $6,000. So, who knows? Maybe 6 months from now, Komodo are cheaper than Ultrabes. But, as of uploading this video, the Ultra B is a cheaper bike. I’ve only had this bike for two weeks, but I mean just loving it so far. Who knows? Maybe the Komoto comes out. I ride one next season and I have a lot of regret, but I really doubt it, man. I mean, this bike delivers everything I needed to. But let me know which one would you guys buy? Are you going to buy or which one do you already own? Like I said earlier, no wrong answer. Both amazing bikes. But that’s going to do for this one. Please hit that like and subscribe button and I will catch y’all next video. [Music]
