[Music] Why hydrogen? Why hydrogen? Why hydrogen? Because hydrogen can change the world. We develop it with dreams of a carbon neutral future. We test it to perfect it. We drive it because it makes sense. Hydrogen can change the world. This is why Toyota has invested more than 30 years of research and development into hydrogen fuel cells. And why we have a campus devoted entirely to hydrogen research. It’s why we’ve developed the Toyota Marai and hydrogen-powered heavyduty trucks. I started working for Toyota to make a difference and I found inspiration in hydrogen fuel cells. The idea that you can use the most abundant element in the universe to power a car with zero tailpipe emissions where the only emission is water. Frankly, it’s amazing. Hydrogen is all around us. This fuel is all around us. It’s a clean energy that you can produce from renewable sources like wind, solar power, and bow-waste. If we put our heads down and keep going with our research and development, this will be a game changer for society. Ladies and gentlemen, today we are at a turning point in automobile history. I remember when we first launched the Murai in 2015 and I was so proud of the vehicle, but it did have a quirky little design. But no matter how you felt about the design, what was underneath was a breakthrough in engineering. These hydrogen fuel cell stacks were, to me at least, the answer to a question that has been bugging the auto industry for decades. How do we make vehicles even more environmentally conscious? And then the hydrogen-p powered project portal proved we can think about commercial trucking in an environmentally sensitive way. Yeah, this is science. This is part of the answer. Why hydrogen? Why hydrogen? Why hydrogen? Why hydrogen? Because hydrogen can change the world. [Music]
