Fancy A FREE Hybrid Upgrade On Your Next Car? #mercedes #mercedesbenz #hybrid #cars #electric
Want a free hybrid upgrade on your new C-Class? Well, Mercedes has you covered. This is the new Mercedes-Benz C 350e, and it retails for $98,200 before on-road costs. And look, that’s a lot of money, but it’s also the same amount of money you pay for the regular 300, which is just a pure petrol variant. And this is a plug-in hybrid. And it’s also a plug-in hybrid worth owning. Mainly because while plug-in hybrids have historically not really offered that much range, this one is a bit of a different proposition. It’s got about a 20 kWh battery pack in this thing and that will give you over 100 ks of range according to WLTP testing standards and you also get DC fast charging though you do have to pay extra for that unfortunately. Under the bonnet is still that 2 L turbo 4cylinder but because of electric assistance it makes a heck of a lot more power. 230 kW and 550 new m of torque all going through the rear axle there which notably also gains air suspension inside. It’s pretty classic C-Class here. It’s more designed for couples or people just driving to work. Pretty nice though. It’s a nice interior here. We’ve also got the synthetic leather seats and a Burmeister stereo. I also like the fact that Mercedes has gone to the trouble of putting in some wood grain here on the dash. Looks absolutely lovely. And I really just like the fact that we’re slowly getting rid of the huge amount of gloss black that Mercedes-Benz has been putting in their interiors for years now. Good work, guys. And with no real cost difference between the two, it’s a pretty interesting turnaround for the brand who previously wasn’t all that interested in bringing plug-in hybrids to Australia, whereas now they seem to be all the rage and they seem to be pushing them pretty darn hard.
