Resilient Racer Jackson Joins the #64 Crew in Indianapolis | Ford Racing
So, it’s the uh IMSA weekend here at Indianapolis Motor Speedway uh for the Battle Lex 6 hour and we’re doing a participation with IMSA on the Brazilian racer program which is a charity initiative that they partner with their charity partners of Austin Hazard Foundation and Camp Bogy Creek. We are getting children involved with these charities, bringing them along for an experience. And we’ve actually got one of the families here at the track, uh Jackson, who’s here on the 64 car with us. We brought he and his family out to the track with us to kind of experience the race up close and get an up close and personal touch from Ford Motor Company uh as well as so we’re really happy to be doing that and it’s I think it’s been a really fun weekend for them and we’re really happy to be able to participate in it through there. We have a room which is just for the drivers. Um and there might be something new in there as well. Have a look. Every driver has one locker and this is yours. Oh, cool. And have a look inside. Look at it. It’s cool, huh? Can take it out. Now you are a real teammate, right? Now you’re a real teammate. You have your own locker, brand new suit, ready to go. [Music] I grew up racing, but I never got the chance to let him experience it. So, for him to see this in this kind of setting is just incredible. Jackson wouldn’t have been able to have this experience without Camp Foggy Creek and the Ford Motorsport team. And he is having a blast. For him to have a hat nobody has the fire suit, nobody’s going to get do the things that only drivers get to do. It’s it’s it’s hard to explain and I think it’s something he’s going to remember forever. It means a lot that they would take the time to make him feel special. Mustang back in victory lane. Mike Rockefeller, Seth Prio, celebrate at the Brickyard. And to win it here on the brakes, uh, is is definitely something which makes me proud. And on top, you know, we had our third teammate with us, uh, Jackson Daniels. I mean that was a you know a special moment because especially after quali I I was really down but then I talked to the dad and you know you you listen to what they go through especially me as a as a parent you know it it it puts things in in perspective and uh yeah that was that was special to have him on our car and to win uh Let’s go. [Music]
