2025 Toyota Tacoma vs 2025 Jeep Gladiator | Toyota

The 2025 Toyota Tacoma versus the 2025 Jeep Gladiator. Let’s find out which of these
two pickup trucks offers the best blend of
versatility and capability. Tacoma’s advanced powertrains give it higher EPA-estimated
MPG ratings than Gladiator. When it comes to comfort and convenience, available features like
ventilated front seats, a Qi-compatible wireless charger, and Panoramic View Monitor give Tacoma an edge over Gladiator. Tacoma has an advantage
over Gladiator in terms of capability thanks to its broad range of available performance-tuned
suspension options. Now let’s put Tacoma and
Gladiator side by side. Tacoma’s eight grade lineup
includes four TRD models, plus a choice between two bed
lengths and two cab styles, while the 2025 Jeep Gladiator
is available in nine grades, but only as a crew cab. Tacoma’s capability really impresses. This starts with its i-FORCE
turbocharged engine with up to 278 horsepower and
317 pound-feet of torque. Gladiator only comes with
a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 285 horsepower and
260 pound-feet of torque. Tacoma also has an available
i-FORCE MAX hybrid system with up to 326 net combined horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, something that Gladiator
does not have an answer for. Tacoma pairs its punchy powertrains with off-road-tuned suspensions featuring Bilstein shocks on TRD Off-Road, Old Man Emu shocks on Trailhunter, and Fox shocks on the TRD Pro grade. Gladiator includes Fox
shocks on the Mojave and Mojave X grades, while the Rubicon and Rubicon X have Tenneco shocks. Tacoma also brings the added on-road refinement with its Limited grade, just consider its standard
Adaptive Variable Suspension and available full-time
four-wheel drive system. Gladiator comes standard with a part-time four-wheel drive system. Finally, at up to an
EPA-estimated 23 miles per gallon combined rating on both
gas and i-FORCE MAX grades, Tacoma has an edge in fuel
economy over Gladiator, which has an EPA-estimated rating of 19 miles per gallon combined. Tacoma’s modern, rugged design
pairs style with function. There are standard LED headlights and available 18-inch alloy wheels that add to Tacoma’s looks. LED headlights are optional on Gladiator, while 18-inch alloy wheels are
available on select grades. And Tacoma’s standard deck
rail system brings added versatility when compared to Gladiator, which doesn’t offer anything similar. Additionally, Tacoma’s i-FORCE
MAX hybrid models have a 2,400-watt/120-volt AC power inverter that’s more powerful than
Gladiator’s 400-watt inverter, giving owners added
flexibility when powering their devices on adventures. Tacoma’s impressive
functionality continues with its available power tailgate, another feature the Gladiator
doesn’t have an answer for. When it comes to comfort, Tacoma delivers with features like the available dual-zone automatic
climate control system. Gladiator only has an
available single-zone automatic climate control system on select grades. Comfort gets enhanced
further with available heated and ventilated front seats, while you’ll find no ventilated
front seats on Gladiator. Additionally, both
trucks have an available heated steering wheel for
added warmth on chilly days. Meanwhile, an available
Qi-compatible wireless charger is designed to help keep mobile
devices topped up on the road, a feature that Gladiator
doesn’t offer at all. Tacoma even has two more features that Gladiator can’t answer, an available 12.3-inch
digital gauge cluster and an available head-up
display, which are designed to keep important
information front and center. Gladiator comes standard with a 3.5-inch TFT
black and white display. A reconfigurable cluster with
a seven-inch color display is also available on higher grades. In terms of Audio Multimedia, Tacoma has a standard
eight-inch touchscreen and an available 14-inch unit. Gladiator comes standard
with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. The Toyota interface
includes standard wireless compatibility for Apple
CarPlay, which connects drivers to the apps on their iPhone,
including maps, messages, podcasts, and music subscriptions. In addition, wireless Android
Auto compatibility makes it easy to stay connected to Android devices and access various apps
and services from Google, including YouTube Music and Google Maps. Plus, there’s a standard
three-month SiriusXM trial subscription that
includes over 165 channels available in-cabin, and even
more on the SiriusXM app, making it easier than ever to
enjoy not just ad-free music, but also sports, comedy, and more. Gladiator also comes with
wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, SiriusXM trials
are only available on the Sport S grade and up. Select Tacoma grades also include trials for Toyota’s
line of Connected Services, including Safety Connect,
Service Connect, Remote Connect, Wi-Fi Connect, and Drive Connect, while Gladiator comes
with Jeep Connect trials. Finally, Tacoma has an
available 10-speaker JBL Premium Audio system, which includes
a portable JBL FLEX speaker that lets drivers take
their tunes on the go, a feature that Gladiator’s available Alpine Premium Audio
system falls short of. All Tacoma grades come with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 system. This includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, Full-Speed Range Dynamic
Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. Gladiator comes with active
safety and convenience features, but they’re only available
on higher grades. Blind Spot Monitor with
Rear Cross-Traffic Alert is available on both trucks, but there’s no equivalent to the available Panoramic View Monitor and Multi-Terrain Monitor on Gladiator, which is only offered with a TrailCam front off-road camera. Finally, Tacoma has available Front and Rear Parking Assist
with Automatic Braking, and available Trailer Backup
Guide, while Gladiator has an available four-times Trailer Hitch Zoom and an available ParkSense
Rear Park-Assist System. Tacoma’s strong value is
seen in its ToyotaCare, which includes two years or 25,000 miles of scheduled maintenance, whichever comes first, and two years, unlimited mileage 24-hour
roadside assistance, while Gladiator includes
the Jeep Wave Customer Care that includes two years
of scheduled maintenance or the first two oil
changes and tire rotations, and five years or 60,000
miles of roadside assistance, whichever comes first. Both trucks come with a three-year or 36,000 mile limited
warranty, whichever comes first, and a five-year or 60,000-mile
powertrain warranty, whichever comes first. Tacoma’s i-FORCE MAX
hybrid grades also include a hybrid system warranty
that covers select components for 8 years or 100,000
miles, whichever comes first, and a 10-year or 150,000-mile
hybrid battery warranty, whichever comes first. From its impressive overall capability to its stunning versatility, it’s no wonder why Tacoma
remains such a smart choice among midsize pickup trucks. Discover Tacoma today at Toyota.com.
