The Volkswagen Golf needs no introduction. For eight generations and over 50 years, the car has been instantly recognizable. It’s also synonymous with words like practical, reliable, and sporty design. From the entry- level life to the performance pack GTE, GTI, and Golf R, there really is a Golf for every driver. While each trim has its own style, they all share the same Golf DNA, timeless design, clever engineering, and everyday usability. So, let’s take a closer look. The Volkswagen Golf comes with LED headlights, and a full LED light bar that spans from this side right through to the other side of the car. The new light technology is also clever in that it reaches up to 500 m range and also features new animations, which means this Golf can also say hello and goodbye. It’s compact, confident, and unmistakably Golf. Depending which trim, your new Volkswagen Golf will come with 17 to 19in alloys with this particular Golf R Black Edition coming with the 19in black estral alloys. The Black Edition also features black R brake calipers, black external mirror housing, and also the black edition logo on the B-pillar. At the rear, you get LED tail lights and unique to this Golf R Black Edition, they’ll also be darkened in line with the trim. You’ll also have a rear spoiler, privacy glass, and moving down to the bottom of the car, a quad exhaust pipe, which is unique to the Golf Bar. On this particular car, you’ll also see the Acraovich exhaust system, which is finished in titanium. I think if you hear it, you’ll really agree that it adds to the whole driving experience. Bursting with technology, the Golf also has two display screens. It has the digital cockpit and also the built-in infotainment system. When it comes to parking, all Golfs have front and rear sensors, which you can also upgrade to a rear view camera or even go for park assist pro, which means with a little help from you, this Golf can almost park itself. There’s a selection of optional upgrades that come for the Golf as well. One being the panoramic sunroof and also an upgraded sound system called Harman Carden. This will give you extra speakers and also a subwoofer. If it’s the daily commute or a long trip, the Gulf will keep you safe, connected, and entertained. The Golf comes in a broad range of powertrains from petrol diesel to plug-in hybrid. Transmissions range from six-speed manual to a six or seven-speed DSG automatic. The plug-in hybrid delivers up to 88 mi electric range, which makes it ideal for city driving, but also longer trips. The power outputs range from 115 brake horsepower right through to 333. And what that means is that our Golf R and Golf R Black Edition have an impressive naugh to 62 in just 4.6 6 seconds. So that’s the latest Volkswagen Golf.
