The Vietnamese EV brand has finally launched the VF6 and VF7 in India. The flagship VF7 is priced between rupees 20.89 lakh and rupes 25.49 lakh. And this is what the variant wise price list looks like. The VF7 Earth gets a 59.6 kWh battery, a front-wheel drive setup, and produces 177 horsepower and 250 Newton m. It can charge from 10 to 70% in 24 minutes and offers a 438 km range. The VF7 Wind and Wind Infiniti both come with a larger 70.8 8 kWh battery, frontwheel drive, and 204 horsepower and 310 Newton m. They do 0 to 100 in 9.5 seconds, take 28 minutes for a 10 to 70% DC charge, and have a 532 km range. The VF7 Sky and Sky Infiniti are all-wheel drive models with the same 70.8 kWh battery. They make 353 horsepower and 500 Nm, sprint from 0 to 100 in 5.8 28 seconds and charge in 28 minutes. Their Arai rated range is 510 km. A 10-year 2 lakh kilm warranty is standard on the VF7 and its battery pack. Winfast is also offering free charging at its V Green chargers until July 2028 along with free maintenance for 3 years. In terms of styling, the VF7 carries Winfast signature Vphace LED DRLs up front with LED headlights. The bumper has a concave design with brushed metal finished trims. In profile, muscular surfacing runs across the body and flush door handles give the sculpted doors a clean look. For India, Winfast has given the VF7 19-in wheels and raised the ground clearance to 190 mm. At the rear, it features a slim windscreen and connected LED tail lamps with horizontal indicators. Inside it features vegan leather upholstery, a 12.9 in touchscreen, a wireless phone charger, large fixed glass roof, dual zone climate control, front ventilated seats, and reclinable rear seats. Physical buttons are kept to a minimum, and most functions are operated through the infotainment screen. Interestingly, a heads-up display replaces the traditional driver’s display. Winfast is targeting a five-star bhat encap crash test safety rating and to that end all variants get seven airbags as standard. A radar based level two ADA suite is also available depending on the variant. The second EV from Winfast is the VF6 set to take on the Hyundai Creta electric Tata Curve EV and Mahindra BE6. The VF6 is priced between rupees 16.49 and 18.29 lakh. And here is what the variant-wise price list looks like. The VF6 packs a 59.6 kWh battery with a front mountain motor. In the Earth trim, it produces 177 horsepower and 250nm, while the higher wind trim makes 204 horsepower and 310 mm. The claim range is 468 km for the Earth and 463 km for the wind with 0 to 100 coming up in 8.9 seconds. Unlike the VF7, the VF6 gets a 7-year 2 lakh kilometer warranty, though the battery pack has the same 10-year, 2 lakh kilometer warranty. On the outside, the VF6 is quite distinctive in this segment. It gets a pair of full width LED DRL strips at the front, which angle downwards to surround the Winfast emblem. It also gets generous plastic landing all around, a sloping roof line, and 18-in alloy wheels. Inside the VF6 has a minimalist cabin with most functions housed in the 12.9 in freestanding touchscreen. There is no traditional instrument cluster replaced instead by a heads-up display. The features list includes a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, 8-way powered driver’s seat, wireless charging, connected tech, and a dual zone climate control. Safety kit includes seven airbags, level two ADAS, auto park assist, rain sensing wipers, and a 360° camera. Bookings for the VF6 and VF7 are open for a token amount of rupees 21,000. Tata Motors has launched the Nexon EV with level two ADAS suite priced at rupes 17.29 lakh. Tata has added a new topsp spec empowered plus a variant to the Nexon EV which gets the level 2 AD suite. Compared to the earlier rangetop variant, the ADAS equipped model costs up to rupees 30,000 more. The suite adds lane departure and lane keep assist, forward collision warning with auto emergency braking, autoh highbeam, traffic sign recognition, rear cross traffic alert, and even a driver’s drowsiness detector. The Nexon EV Empowered Plus A is available in dark and red dark editions at rupees 17.49 lakh, a rupees 20,000 premium. Other than Adas, the new Empowered Plus A shares its features list with the Empowered Plus. The Nexon EV is offered with 30 kW and 45 kWh battery packs, but the ADAS suite is reserved exclusively for the larger 45 kWh variant. That pack delivers an ARI certified range of 489 km and a real world figure of around 350 km. Moving on to some news from the Munich Motor Show. Mercedes-Benz debuted an allnew electric SUV, the GLC with EQ technology, effectively a successor to the EQE SUV currently on sale in India. The GLC EV is based on a new 800 volt compatible MBEA platform and in markets like the US, it’ll be offered in two versions, the rearwheel drive GLC 300 plus and the all-wheel drive GLC 400 formatic. The GLC 300 Plus features a single motor with 374 horsepower, while the dual motor GLC 400 produces 489 horsepower. Both draw power from a 94 kWh NMC battery and support DC fast charging at up to 330 kW. On the WLTP cycle, the GLC 400 allwheel drive claims up to 713 km on a single charge. Outside, the GLC EV gets a massive illuminated grill, a three-pointed star at the center, surrounded by 942 back lit dots. The headlights and taillights both feature star- shaped lighting elements. The sloping roof line features a subtle roof spoiler that helps with aerodynamics with Mercedes claiming a drag coefficient of 0.26. The SUV rides on standard 20-in alloys and 21in wheels are available as an option. Inside, the highlight is the massive 39.1 in MBUX hyper screen that stretches across the dashboard, combining the driver’s display, central infotainment, and passenger screen. It runs the latest MBUX software with cleaner menus and an AI assistant. Mercedes has also ditched touch sensitive controls in favor of physical buttons and knobs on the steering wheel and center console. The GLC EV is expected to come to India in 2027. BMW also unveiled its competitor to the GLC EV at the Munich Motor Show, its first EV on the new Neyerlass platform, which will also underpin the upcoming i3 sedan. The new BMW iX3 is powered by 108.7 kWh battery with 800 volt architecture. It supports up to 400 kW DC fast charging which can add 372 km of range in just 10 minutes. Initially, BMW will offer the EX- 350 X drive variant with dual motors, all-wheel drive, 469 horsepower and 645 Newton m. It does 0 to 100 in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 210 kph. The WLTP range is rated between 679 and 805 km. The EX-3 debuts BMW’s new generation design language with aerodynamic tweaks, giving it a drag coefficient of just 0.24. 24. The upright nose features vertically stacked kidney grills inspired by the Noaclass cars of the 1960s flanked by slim headlights with a new light signature. In profile, it gets large, clean surfaces, flush door handles, and squared off arches finished in a body color. Standard wheels are 20-in alloys with 21 and 22in options available. At the rear, wide L-shaped taillights get new slanted section design complemented by a sporty bumper and spoiler. Inside the EX3 gets a clean minimal layout with seating for five. Physical buttons remain for the essentials like indicators, wipers, and volume. While most other functions are handled by the voice or multi-function steering wheel. A panoramic vision display spans the base of the windscreen showing key info like state of charge, drive mode, and temperature. At the center, a 17.9 in touchscreen runs BMW’s new operating system X. The BMW iX3 is expected to come to India in 2027.
