FutuRGen Stories – Sandeep Bhambra | Renault Group
Imagine an environmentally friendly family car. Impossible, but follow me to see more. [Music] It’s a huge challenge, but that’s what is exciting. With Emblem, we wanted to make a car that families would love, spacious, comfortable, and with a lot of style. a sleek silhouette and a color that shifts from green to blue with light. But every detail was designed to cut carbon from lightweight materials to aerodynamic lines to an interior built around eco designign principles. Every choice, the shape to the substance serves one goal. Maximum efficiency, minimum impact. For example, there’s the all new cockpit with a pillarto-pillar design that’s been pushed back as far as possible to create the maximum space in the cabin. We also worked on the entire interior in a seamless tech spirit. In other words, everything is right there when and where you need it. We created simple parts. For example, the seat adjuster is tactile and it’s inlaid in the seat. As for the door, it’s made with fewer components with all the functions which have been retained like the speaker, the door opener, the window pockets, and the controls. This means less number of parts in the car and less CO2 emissions. Curious to deep dive into the emblem? Check out our detailed videos with CLA and Pasco for more insights.
