Volkswagen ID. Polo | Legend Goes Electric | IAA 2025 | PowerDrift QuickEase
[Music] There’s a lot of cool cars at the IAA 2025, but this is the one you guys have been waiting for the most. That is the Polo GTI. And behind that is the new Polo, the all electric Polo and Polo GTI. Let’s take a quick look around it. We’ll start with this new Polo. Of course, it is camouflaged because the actual car is actually going to come out in approximately 2026. It’s 4.1 m in length. It’s based on the new MEB platform. Yes, electric only. This is part of Volkswagen’s new strategy to transfer names of its iconic models onto their electric only models as well. It is definitely very Folkswagen. So, you have an illuminated logo and illuminated light bar going across behind that camouflage as well. Very sharp, small headlights, a very small front end as well. Of course, here in India, we have a lot of interest for the Polo and we have been begging for a new Polo for a long, long time. But this being electric only, this is actually one that could make its way to India. And I would be really, very, very excited because it’s a nice size. And this in electric, which should also be really nice to drive. You have an illuminated Volkswagen logo at the back as well. Says ID Polo here. Very cool camouflage design, I must say. slim tail lights, so they taper off from here and go around here. They’ve just gone off. And then at the back, you have nice rims. These would probably be downsized if it ever does come to India, which I truly hope it does. Of course, the interior is blocked off. You can see some of it where you have a central display, you have a digital driver’s display, a Volkswagen steering wheel, and it should be fairly simple and ordinary. Nothing too crazy going on because of course this is meant to be an affordable electric car from Volkswagen which we haven’t got just yet. I think it looks fantastic. And then of course you have its cooler cousin, the Polo GTI. Again, the camouflage has the GTI name. Very, very nicely done camouflage if you ask me. Super sick rims. Very rally style rims with a black center and this diamond finish going across the side as well. Very, very nice. Very similar rear end. Again, you have an illuminated logo, a GTI badge here, and these tail lamps that go across here. I think there is also a connected tailbar, uh, tail light going across the back. A nice four diffuser, plastic of course, but looks very impressive. The Polo GTI would be in electric, guys. Still frontwheel drive only, but I’m sure it’ll pack a lot of power. There’s not uh any concrete specs out yet, but again, same MEB platform. It’s also going to come out in 2026. At the bottom, you have the classic GTI um the hexagonal design for the lower half. Of course, you don’t have a grill because this is also going to be electric only. GTI badge on the grill and the illuminated Volkswagen logo here as well. On the interior, you can expect uh the Polo GTI to get some more red elements, but it should be fairly similar to the standard Polo. I think it’s fantastic if you ask me. One of the best cars here at the IAA as an enthusiast. an electric Polo, a new Polo if it does come to India, which we have been asking for a very very long time and it hasn’t made its way yet. But because it’s electric, it might just make sense. And maybe in the comments, you can start a petition to tell Folkswagen India to bring it to India.
