3 HITS and 3 MISSES of the Chery Tiggo 8 SUPER HYBRID.#chery #tiggo #tiggo8 #phev #hybrid #suv #cars

This is the Cherry Tigo 8 Super Hybrid, and here are our top three hits and top three misses for this car. Hit number one is range. Now, this being a plug-in hybrid, it draws energy from both petrol and electric sources, and combined it can drive over,200 km, or so says Cherry. But electric only power, it could drive over 90 km. Now, in our week of testing, our numbers haven’t been quite as rosy as that, but they’ve still been pretty darn good. Miss number one is the packaging of the cabling in this plug-in hybrid. lift up this boot section and you have direct access to all this high voltage looking stuff. And it’s not just here in the boot where it’s pretty easy for kids to reach over. It’s also in the third row where kids can lift up a flap and get access to a orange cable that looks a little bit nasty and mom and dad can’t see what’s going on. Not really good enough, we think. Hit number two is some of the thoughtful features you get inside the cabin of the Tigo 8. Like for example, this ring light here. I don’t wear a lot of makeup, but I can appreciate the fact you have both white light and yellow light here. And I also love the fact that the rear doors unlock themselves as you walk up to the car. Myth number two is the third row. Even when you’ve got the second row seats folded flat and moved all the way forward, there isn’t actually a gap for you to step through. You have to step over it. And then once you’re inside, there really isn’t much in the way of space. My head is slammed against that ceiling. Hit number three, though, has to be value. For $46,000, you can get one of these drive away in Australia. And for a car that’s got seven seats and a plug-in hybrid system, that is pretty darn impressive. Miss number three is road holding ability. The suspension on the Tigo8 FEV is just a little bit firm and it’s a little bit underactive for what it really should be. And as a result, it ends up kind of skipping over many bumps on the road rather than rolling over them and processing them properly. And as a result, some of the cornering dynamics can be a little bit interesting. So, would you consider a Cherry Tigo 8 Super Hybrid? Let us know in the comment section down below.
