2025 Toyota Camry vs 2025 Nissan Altima | Toyota

The 2025 Toyota Camry versus the 2025 Nissan Altima. Let’s discover which
of these midsize sedans offers the most well-rounded drive. Camry’s standard hybrid powertrain means it has EPA-estimated MPG ratings that are higher than Nissan Altima’s regardless of the grade. Available ventilated front seats and an available Head-Up Display give Camry the edge over Nissan Altima when it comes to convenience. Camry’s standard hybrid powertrain brings more standard
horsepower than Nissan Altima. Now let’s put Camry and
Altima side by side. Camry’s lineup consists of
four grades: LE and XLE, and the sport-oriented SE and XSE. The Nissan Altima is available
in four grades as well, the base S, mid-level SV and SR, and its range-topping SL. Camry’s electrified
drive really impresses. This starts with a standard hybrid system that makes 225 net combined horsepower on front-wheel drive models, that’s more than the Nissan Altima’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine
with up to 188 horsepower. In all-wheel drive models, Camry ups the ante to 232
net combined horsepower. And Camry raises the fun factor with a sport-tuned suspension
on the SE and XSE grades. Altima only includes a
sport-tuned suspension on the SR grade. The drive gets amped up further with Camry’s available
Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive system, which is offered on
every one of its grades. While the Nissan Altima does
offer all-wheel drive too, it’s only available on
the SV grade and up. Camry has up to an EPA-estimated 51 miles per gallon combined rating, which is higher than the Nissan Altima’s up to an EPA-estimated 32
miles per gallon combined. The 2025 Toyota Camry
offers two distinct lines: the refined LE and XLE, and the sporty SE and XSE. Each line includes a
specific front fascia, including a sport front
mesh grille on SE and XSE, or a refined horizontal bar front grilled finished in black or dark metallic grey in the LE an XLE respectively. For an even sportier look, Camry SE includes a
color-keyed rear spoiler, while XSE has a black-painted one. These two trims also have racing inspired functional aerodynamic air ducts, front side canards and
rear lower diffusers. And in the case of XSE, the front side canards are color keyed. The XSE grade’s available
two-tone exterior colors further elevate Camry’s
already striking appearance, while Altima is absent any
two-tone exterior colors options. Finally, Camry can also be equipped with an available panoramic glass roof, which is not available at all for Altima. Step inside Camry’s interior and experience features
that make every drive oh so charming. First, there’s the modern
open concept interior design with unique styling touches by grade. Modern sport expression is on display with a leather-trimmed interior featuring artistic shooting
blade style perforations on XSE, and there’s a warm, embracing interior with embossed, quilted-patterned Dynamica microfiber interior trim on XLE. Altima’s SL grade offers
standard leather-trimmed seats. SE and XSE also get standard
aluminum sport pedals that aren’t available at all on Altima, enhancing Camry’s sporty feel. Every grade come standard with dual-zone automatic climate control
and rear-seat air vents, while Altima only has this
feature on its SV grade and up. Heated and ventilated front seats are also available for Camry, whereas Altima limits itself to available heated front seats. Additionally, a heated steering wheel is available on all Camry grades, while Altima only offers
it on the range-topping SL. Camry’s Toyota Audio Multimedia platform features a standard eight-inch or an available 12.3-inch touchscreen. This interface includes standard wireless compatibility
for Apple CarPlay, which connects drivers to
the apps on their iPhone, including maps, messages,
podcasts, and music subscriptions. In addition, wireless
Android Auto compatibility makes it easy to stay
connected to Android devices and access various apps
and services from Google including YouTube Music and Google Maps. And while Altima offers similarly sized standard eight-inch or an
available 12.3-inch touchscreen for its Audio Multimedia platform, it only comes with wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto when equipped with the larger display. Plus, there’s a standard 3-month
SiriusXM trial subscription that includes over 165
channels available in-cabin, and even more on the SiriusXM app, making it easier than ever to
enjoy not just ad-free music, but also sports, comedy, and more. Altima also comes with
standard SiriusXM trials. Select Camry grades also include trials for Toyota’s line
of Connected Services, including Safety Connect, Service Connect, Remote Connect, Wi-Fi
Connect, and Drive Connect. Altima offers NissanConnect
Services trials on all but the S grade. Additionally, Camry comes standard with a Qi-compatible wireless charger, a feature that’s available on
the SV and higher grades only in Altima’s lineup. Camry’s five standard USB ports also beat out Nissan Altima’s four. Finally, Camry has an
available head-up display and 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, both of which aren’t offered on any of Nissan Altima’s grades. All Camry grades come with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 system. This includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, Full-Speed Range Dynamic
Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. Altima’s Nissan Safety Shield 360 comes with similar features
as Toyota Safety Sense, including Lane Departure Warning and Intelligent Lane Intervention. Blind Spot Monitor with
Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Safe Exit Alert are also included as standard on every Camry grade, while Altima has no Safe Exit Alert. For added convenience, Camry’s available Panoramic View Monitor, as well as its available
Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, help make maneuvering
through tight spaces easier. Altima has an available
Intelligent Around View Monitor and includes standard rear
parking sensors on all grades. Camry also offers available features like Front Cross-Traffic
Alert, Lane Change Assist, and Traffic Jam Assist with an active Drive Connect
trial or subscription, none of which have an
equivalent on Altima. Camry’s strong value is evidenced in the fact that it comes with ToyotaCare, which includes two years or 25,000 miles of scheduled maintenance, whichever comes first, and two years, unlimited mileage 24-hour
roadside assistance. The Nissan Altima comes with
Nissan maintenance Care, which includes two years or 24,000 miles of scheduled maintenance, whichever comes first, a three-year or
36,000-mile basic warranty, a five-year or 60,000-mile
powertrain warranty, and three years or 36,000
miles of roadside assistance, whichever comes first. And since every Camry is a hybrid, it includes a hybrid system warranty that covers select components
for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, and a 10-year or 150,000-mile
hybrid battery warranty, whichever comes first. With its solid lineup
of electrified vehicles, Camry really sets the standard
for the midsize sedan. Taken together with Toyota’s
commitment to quality, durability, and reliability, and Camry becomes the smart choice. Discover Camry today at Toyota.com.
