Hello and welcome to this guide to the C3 Airross, the compact SUV from Citroen that offers comfort, refinement, and more space than you might expect with the choice of electric, hybrid, and petrol power. Our new logo takes pride of place at the front, flanked by these bright and clear LED lights in our threeelement lighting signature. The vertical appearance of the front of the car, the big windscreen and the bumper details anchor the design firmly in the SUV world, but on a car that’s still compact and easy to maneuver. Moving around to the side of the car, the big alloy wheels and wheel arch extensions along with the protective cladding at the base of the doors and these roof rails affirm its SUV credentials. The large tinted windows and high riding position hint at the comfort and space that it offers everyone on board. And the two-tone paint finish adds a stylish touch. At the back, this black bar containing a subtle reference to our iconic chevrons pushes out from the badge to the three element rear lights. And this bumper finisher provides extra protection. Let’s look inside now. Starting in the front of the car, what you’ll notice straight away is how our designers have paid close attention to every element of this interior to make it feel spacious and airy. All around the cabin, we’ve chosen upholstery and surface finishes that really lift the atmosphere. Our signature advanced comfort seats have a special structure with a core of durable highdensity foam and an upper layer of soft textured foam like a pillow top mattress, giving you the perfect blend of exceptional comfort and longlasting support even on the longest journeys. Our dashboard is designed around functional layers to keep things simple. The top layer is all about technology and houses the Citroen head-up display. This display is positioned high on the dashboard viewed above the steering wheel and it gives you all the information you need in your field of view. In the center, you have this 10.25 in touchscreen. It comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support as standard. and is your gateway to radio, media, and navigation. Moving down the dashboard, in the middle you have what we call the sofa layer with a soft touch fabric making a contrast with the black upper dashboard layer. Finally, the lower layer contains functional elements such as the air conditioning controls and these driving assistance controls. What you can’t see making a big difference is our advanced comfort suspension, which uses patented progressive hydraulic cushions to make C3 Airrossers ride more comfortable than many bigger and much more expensive cars, even on Britain’s imperfect roads. What you might not expect from the outside is quite how much space there is inside. Looking at the second row, you’ve got exceptional leg room and shoulder space. And because of the height of the car, there’s great headroom, too. Adults will be very comfortable sitting here, even for longer journeys. But this generous passenger space does not come at the expense of room in the boot, which features a low loading lip and a two-position boot floor that means you can choose between the convenience of a flat load floor with storage space underneath or one big load space. On 5-seater versions, that total load space is 460 L and extends to 1,600 L with the rear seats folded, making see-through Aircross a winner when it comes to practicality. And on hybrid and petrol versions, you can even have the option of two extra seats, allowing up to seven people to travel. A clever mechanism allows you to tumble the second row forwards, making it easier to access the rear seats, which can be neatly folded away into the floor when you don’t need them, giving you an ample 330 L of boot space up to the parcel shelf. No matter which C3 Airross you choose, you’ll benefit from a generous level of specification. In addition to the technology, styling, and comfort features already mentioned, all versions get a rear parking camera and a suite of driver assistance systems such as active safety brake, which automatically applies the vehicle’s brakes under certain circumstances to avoid a collision, and speed limit sign recognition, which helps you to ensure you always know the speed limit, even if you didn’t see the sign. By stepping up through the range, you can add built-in 3D satellite navigation, front parking sensors, wireless smartphone charging, and the winter pack, which brings heated front seats, a heated windscreen, and the little luxury of a heated steering wheel. C3 Airross is available as a fully electric car, the EC3 Airross with a choice of battery sizes offering up to 248 miles of range. Using a wall box at home, you can charge from empty to full in under 7 hours. But EC3 Airross is ready for longer journeys, too. It can support 100 kW DC charging as standard, meaning that while you’re on the move, you can use public rapid charges to get from 20 to 80% charge in as little as 26 minutes. So, by the time you finished your coffee, you’re ready to get out on the road again. With smooth linear acceleration, excellent torque, and no pauses for gear changes, EC3 Airross offers a superior driving experience that will win you and your passengers over instantly.
