2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E preview: A quick look at Ford’s newest EV in PH | Top Gear Philippines
Well, the cat’s out of the bag because alongside the new territory, Ford Philippines has also rolled out this one. This is the Mustang Mach E. And this is actually the updated version. Some people think we still got the pre-update version. Nope, this is the newest one. So, a couple of things you need to know about it. Now, there’s only one variant coming to the Philippines, the all-wheel drive premium variant. So, yep, as mentioned, it’s got all-wheel drive and it’s actually got a bigger battery. It’s got extended range. Secondly, we go down here and if you see a little bit of red, that’s because it’s got the Brembo brake package. So, uh, it could easily stop this big and heavy crossover. I mean, EVs are heavier than their IC counterparts after all. So, it’s going to need these performance brakes. Now, moving a little bit back, we come to the subject of the battery and charging. Now the charging system can accommodate up to 150 kW and the battery capacity itself is 88 kwatt hours giving you an estimated range of about 550 km. So before we go inside the Mach E, we’re going to show you this little feature. It’s called the E latch. Now it’s either you have like a device or a card. And when you touch this, it either pops open or you press this button. And there you go. That’s access to the interior of the Mustang Mach E. Now stepping inside, you get a bang and olive synth sound system and you get a pretty small display here for the instrument cluster. Of course, screens are all the range these days. So you get all your climate controls here and your infotainment options. And because this is an EV, there’s actually a lot of space, especially for the floor. And lastly, to make it look even more spacious, you go up here, and that is a massive panoramic glass roof. Now, the elatch system also applies for the rear. All you have to do is press that button and it pops open ever so slightly to give you access to the rear seats. So, um it also has a flat floor. So, that gives you true five-seater capabilities. Now, moving on to the back, you have 42 L of cargo space. Uh obviously, we’re going to move that away because that’s actually the charger for the uh Mach E. So that’s 402 L here at the back. And if you flip down the seats, you’re looking at about 1,600 L of space. So you’re probably wondering, how much is the Ford Mustang Mach E? Well, the loan variant in the country retails for 3,490,000 pesos. And you can test drive this Mache in select Ford dealers nationwide.
At the launch of the new 2026 Ford Territory Hybrid today, Ford Philippines also unveiled its newest and first fully electric offering in the market: the all-new 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E.
This EV wears the iconic Mustang badge, and while it’s nothing like Ford’s famed pony, it promises performance that can live up to the name. Its fully electric powertrain produces 389hp and 676Nm of torque, and together with the 88kWh battery, it can propel the vehicle from 0-100kph in under 5 seconds. It also has an estimated maximum range of 550km, and it supports up to 150kW DC charging, which recharges the battery from zero to 80% in 36-45 minutes.
