Mahindra’s Future SUVs Unveiled | New Thar, Creta-rival SUV, Baby Defender? | PowerDrift QuickEase
[Music] Wow, a lot of chaos around us. Happy Independence Day, PD Army. And we are with Mahindra at the Freedom New event in Mumbai where they’ve unveiled four new cars. The Vision SXT, Vision T, Vision S, and Vision X. What are these cars? These could potentially become replacements for their future products or rather their new future products that could happen over the course between 2027 and 2029. At first, you have the Vision S that’s going to be launched 2027 followed by the Vision T and the Vision SXT which are going to more or less happen on the same timeline and then you have the Vision X which is going to be the last. Let me know in the comments what you feel which car is going to replace what or what’s going to be new. According to what I feel, my gut feeling, that car right there, the vision is sort of going to be a bolero parallel. This is the new gen Thar or rather the Thar Sport. That is the Scorpio sport of sorts. And that that’s the 3XO replacement. That’s what I feel. You let me know in the comments what you feel about it. And now we’ll quickly dive into each of these cars and tell you what they have to offer. Oh, by the way, all of these cars are going to be available in petrol, diesel, electric variants, and hybrids. Let’s dive into them. Now, we’ll quickly go back to the SXT and talk about it in detail. This is my favorite of the entire lot of cars that you see cuz you get these rugged, chunky off-road tires with those off-road wheels. The butch stance is outstanding. Totabos, kudos to you, sir, for what you’ve made. This looks outstanding. The face super menacing, super aggressive, looks completely purpose-built, absolutely tough, outstanding. You have these sort of split DRLs going on. It’s called modular light tech. We will get more information on that as the cars get into production. Moving on to the back is where this thing shines to glory. When I said this looks straight out of a movie, I really mean it because this looks phenomenal. So, you have tires at the back. Of course, since this is a concept at the moment, this is how it looks. There will be changes to it as it gets into production form. Some quick things for you to know. Five link rear suspension. All of these cars apparently are going to be having five link rear suspension. This car is a little above 4 m and it is a Creta rival. I know you’re thinking how can something like this but when it comes to size it is actually a creta rival. Now let’s move on to the next car which is the vision. A lot of thar vibe going on from it. If you remember the thar electric the tar that you guys saw I think back in South Africa if I’m not wrong. It’s got a lot of that vibe but of course it’s not as aggressive as the SXT. It’s toned down a little. So, you have nice hood pins or rather these hood latches. Again, off-road wheels, Falcon tires on this one. Of course, the production version will get more India specific tires. Outstanding looking car. The doors it reminds you of, you know, sort of this Bronco with a little bit of Defender. A lot of inspiration going on. A lot of it. And if you actually see the platform is quite compact. Really show you the inside right now. But with their new vision cars, Bahindra’s also got a new operating system. So the decals, all of that that the software, all of it changes. It sort of looks a little more Apple focused, but it looks really nice. So for the displays of these cars, a few of them actually get a vertically sat display, something that you see in like a Mercedes, something like that. And then you also have a horizontal display. The interior on these cars, unfortunately, we can’t show you, but it looks insane. We’ve seen pictures bel you’ve also seen pictures by now on our social media handles. So, yeah, you also have a shovel on the top. I don’t think that’s going to make it a production, but if it does, Mindra, actually, please yeah, put it on your production car. It looks sick. Moving on to the back. You have crazy crazy stuff going on at on the back as well. You have a toe bar. huge huge tire as well. Fulls size tire at the back like you see on the Mahindra. I hope a few things of what we see make it to the production spec car. But yeah, if I had to choose, I’d still choose the SXT because that thing looks badass, especially with that color. This is the Vision S. It’s a little more road focused, a little more toned down as compared to the two cars you’ve seen at first glance. If you actually get close to them, you have a lot of you have a mix of a lot of things going on. So, okay, we’ll just wait for the gentleman to finish. There’s a lot of chaos around the cars, new products, a lot of excitement. Actually, we’ll start this car at the back because there’s a lot of chaos happening in the front. The tail actually reminds me, especially with these light bars that are vertically slatted, of an SUV that Mahindra made for a while, I think like a TUV if I’m not wrong. It’s it was called the TUV. And yeah, that it sort of reminds me of that, but of course it’s modernized. It looks a lot more menacing, if I can say that. The tail lamps, they’ve got a lot of textures going on. So you have these tiny LED squares going on along with these rectangular vertical slats. Ice cube tail lamps at the back as well. Overall the back looks outstanding. A lot of defender going on over here as well. Actually the tail lamps and the headlamps remind me of like the Ford Raptor or like the Ford F-150s. They’ve got those fang like things going on. It looks very very similar. The wheels actually on this car are the coolest. Like if you think about it, those two cars, the wheels they get, they look a little more electric focused, but these look like something Mahindra actually have on their production cars. And yeah, let us know in the comments if you think these wheels should make it to the production car because fabulous. From the back, we now move to the front of the Vision S. And this sort of reminds me of like a Ford F-150 that’s married to a 3xo or a XUV 300. Actually, if you wing it back a little bit, you have these sort of light bars inside the grill that’s going on with, of course, the Twin Peaks logo. Actually, I feel at least as a concept, they should have had like one of the Twin Peaks logos illuminated on the car. It will look really nice. The headlamp again as the tail lamp, this is also got a lot of textures going on. So, you have these vertical slats. You have these squares with tiny squares on the inside as well. Ice cube like fog lamps out there. This is a lot more toned down when it comes to its design. It’s more road focused. You have, of course, lights on the top, the sort of ox lights on the top. All of this, we don’t really think that’ll make it to production, but yeah, a lot of this could just make it to production. You let us know what you feel and what you think should actually make it to production. Should it be this way or should just tone down a little bit? So, now lastly, we’re going to move on to the car that’s going to be launched last. It’s the best for the last is what Mahindra has done with this. The Vision X. The Vision X is more of a coupe like SUV like something very similar to a BE6. If you actually look at that roof line, it feels like a BE6. But of course, something that comes in in the next generation. Pirelli tires. Of course, it won’t make it to production, but if it does, insane. You have huge wheels. These are what? 19-in wheels. 19-in wheels on a sub4meter SUV. Now, that looks like fun. So, Mahindra has this typical trait of having swollen arches and that is something that you see on every single vision concept that you’ve seen by now. And this one has it as well. So like it tapers in the center and then by coming to the back it sort of swells out and then transcends into the rear which looks really nice. This gets a nice light bar at the back which sort of reminds me of a Tata car but I’m not going to say it. I’m not going to say it. I didn’t say it. They got a very clean back going on for this unlike those. You have sort of fangs at the back which are lit in red. Very nice detail. Superb detail going on. And then you have this as well. Of course, this going into production might just become a brake lamp. Actually, they should. It’ll look like a nice Formula 1 inspired car. The wheels on this car, I’m not too sure that I like. It looks like a very aero modernday wheel that you see on like a B6 or something. But overall, four cars with very different character are same today. So, you guys have all the information about all the four cars that we’ve given you by now. But I’m just going to quickly get into some more details. We’ve been told that these cars are ready or they meet the standards of GNCAP and ENCAP. All these cars will get a flat floor. But 2027 onwards all the way till 2029, you will see this slew of cars getting into production form. Okay, that that was it from the Freedom New. We have a lot of reels going up on our social media handle. You tell us which of these cars you fancy, which of these cars you’ve liked and which of them will you buy. I know my favorite is that Jay has been having his eyes on this. You tell me which one of them and tell me how much of this you feel will actually go into production. And that was poweries from the freedom new event. We’ll see you on the next one and of course we will chat in the comment section. Cheers. [Music]
