They’re built on the same platform, offer the same powertrains and tech with only differences being that the IM5 is a saloon and the IM6 an SUV. Both the IM5 and IM6 are built on MG’s high-tech 800vt electric platform, allowing for ultraast charging with 10 to 80% charge being done in just 17 minutes using a 350 kW charger. There will be three powertrains available. A 75 kWh single motor version for the IM5 only with around 282 horsepower. a 100 kWh long range single motor with roughly 335 horsepower and the flagship performance dual motor version packing up to 553 kW which is 741 horsepower and that will also have 802 new m of torque. That means 062 takes 3.2 2 seconds for the IM5 and 3.5 seconds for the IM6.
