Friends, this is Chetak 31. This has replaced Chhattak 25503. So this is a affordable and entrylevel scooter from Bajat Chetak. So in this video, let’s know complete details about this Chetak 3001 like what are all the differences we can see in this 3001 compared to 2550? So before diving into the video this is Sy and you’re watching electric vehicles India. Friends first let’s see what are all the changes Bajach has made to this Chetak 30001 compared to 25503. The first change is the battery. Now this Chetak 31 gets 3 kWh battery whereas the 253 used to get 2.8 kWh battery and the range has also increased from 123 km to 127 km. This is the IDC range and company has changed the battery position. Previously the battery used to be under the seat. Now they have changed the battery position to the floorboard. Now the battery will be under the floorboard and the ground clearance also increased from 160 mm to 168 mm. And company has increased the rating of the portable charger. Previously we used to get 500 W portable charger. Now we are getting 650 W due to which the charging time also increased a bit. And one more thing due to the battery replacement the boot space also increased. Previously we used to get only 21 L of boot. Now we are getting 35 liters of boots. So this is a very huge boot. So these are all the changes we can see in this 30001 compared to 25503. Now let’s have a 360° look of this 3001. Friends, this is how the front look of this 30001. So this 30001 is available in five different colors. Currently we have red color with it. The red color brightness is very high. So it’s it looks very attractive. And along with this red, it is also available in white, black, blue and yellow colors. So you can pick this 3001 from these five colors. And coming to the front look. So this is a combination of red and black color. So this is very deadly combination and it’s looking very beautiful in combination of both these colors. So this is the old there is no change in the design. Old round LED DRL LED headlamp and chak logo inside it. Under this we have number plate holder. These are the air vents and these are the side indicators. And here we’ll get Chetak logo. And this is the fiber plastic mud guard. The whole body of this Bajach Cetak 31 is made up of metal except this headbutt and this mud guard. So both these are fiber plastic. And coming down here we have the single monoshock springloaded suspension and we have drum brakes at the front as well as rear. So as this is a budget model, company’s providing drum brakes and we have 90x 90 section tubeless tires and this is the same alloy wheels design. So there is nothing changed in the front part and also the side part. So here we can see the physical key with 31 you’ll get physical key and here we have the small pockets. So on the left side you’ll get USB charging port. So you can store your small water bottle or mobile phone inside these pockets. And this is the floorboard. So nothing changed in terms of floorboard. Now the battery will be under the floorboard but nothing has changed in terms of size and capacity. And here we have the pillion foot peg. So this is the rear wheel. No Chetak logo on the side panel of this. And coming to the seat, I think the seat has also not changed. Same seat. So the cushion is very comfortable. Now let me open the boot space. So this is the boot space of this Chhattak 3001. Now it has 35 L of boot space and the charging port will be here. And this is the 650 W portable charger. 20 to 80% takes 2 and 1/2 hours and full charge takes 5 hours. And we should talk about this seat. This seat will have spring action. So if you lift this like this, it will remain like this. No other company will provide this kind of spring action inside this seat. So I feel seat and boot space and accessing it is very easy compared to other electric scooters in the market. And this is the new grabel design for this 3001. So it’s very strong. And coming to the rear part, nothing has changed. the same air vent, same setup logo, same tail lamp, same side indicators and same number plate holder. And coming to the left side, everything will be same but here we’ll have the motor setup. So this has 2.5 kW nominal and 3.1 kW peak power sidemounted motor. The power loss will be very less in this Bajachet electric scooters. And if you want the center stand, you can add it as an accessory but as a standard you will get side stand with it. And coming to the display, so same display, round LCD display. So Bajad should consider upgrading this display because the visibility in the daylight is very low in this display and nothing has changed. Everything is same same mirrors the quality will be very good. Now let’s take a small spin on this 3001 and let’s see how is the riding field. What has changed and what are all the exact specifications along with pricing. So let’s go and test ride this friends. Let’s start the test ride of this 3001. Before that, I’ll let you know what are all the details we’ll get to see in this round LCD display. First of all, let me switch on this scooter. So, this is how the 3001 display switch on. So, here we can see the time, here there is speed, here is the range and here is the S4 state of charge and we can also see the battery percentage with the help of these bars. Here is written as neutral and here is a neutral indicator. If you press this Y button, you can see odometer, trip meter and state of charge from here. And to switch on this electric scooter, press one of the brake and if you press this D button, the scooter will switch on and it comes to drive mode. This also has reverse mode. If you press and hold this R button, scooter goes into reverse mode. So now we are in the reverse mode. And to exit from reverse mode, press this D button by pressing one brake. And coming to the switches, here we have D button to switch between the riding modes. And to engage it into driving mode. And here is the ride indicator switch. And here we have M button to toggle between these details. And this is a neutral button. If you press this button, scooter goes into neutral. Again, if you press the brake and press this D button, it goes into driving mode. And here is the reverse mode button. Coming to the left hand side, here we have high beam, low beam switch. This is a lift indicator switch. And this is the horn switch. And with the help of this button, we can play pause music and we can reject and attempt the calls. So that function works when you buy tech pack. So the tech pack costs you 3,000 rupees. So it will get some features, additional features. So I’ll let you know what are all those features in a minute. So now without any delay, let’s start riding this electric scooter in the eco mode. Coming to the initial impressions, there is no major difference between the previous versions because same design, same handling. Nothing is changed in terms of design and handling. So there is a rough road here, but the suspension is handling it smooth. I can’t say it’s very smooth. The suspension setup is a bit on a stiffer side, but it’s manageable for our Indian roads. It gets the job done. It’s not the most comfortable electric scooter in terms of suspension, but it gets job done and the region is also so effective. I’ll show you how effective it is. Now, we are at 30k speed and I’m leaving the throttle. As you can see, within very limited time, it’s coming to single-digit speeds. So the region is very effective till 45 to 50 kmp. So when you reach 60 kmp, it will take some time to decrease the speed. But when you’re cruising around 30, 40, 50 speeds, the region is very effective. You have to get used to this electric scooter in order to ride this daily. So I mean in traffic situation when you are accelerating, diesel rating, you may feel some jerk, a kind of a jerk when you’re pulling this electric scooter because the region is very effective. So you will get used to it when you ride this electric scooter daily. Now coming to the specifications as I already told you this has a 3 kW battery pack. Companies claiming 127 km of IDC range but we can expect 90 to 100 kilometers real range considering the weight number of people you are traveling and kind of roads you drive on. So we can expect 90 to 100 kilometers range. See the region is very effective. So when you throttle it takes some time to deliver the power. So it has to cut the region and it has to allocate the power to the motor. So during this process there is a bit of power lag. And uh coming to the torque as you can see it’s decent. I can’t say the torque is mad but it’s decent. It’s sufficient to overtake the vehicles and to climb the flyovers. Let me test the top speed. Yeah, it went above. It went above 63 kmp. Yes, the performance is very good. And uh coming to the tech pack, you have to pay 3,000 more in order to get the tech pack features. So, this is a one-time payment. You’ll get lifetime validity on those features. So, in the tech pack, you will get mobile app connectivity and you’ll get eco and sports mode in it. You will get hillold assist. You’ll get auto cancellation indicators. You’ll get guide me home lamp. So all these features are included in the tech pack for which you have to pay 3,000 rupees extra. Yeah, the seating comfort, the leg space. Overall, it’s a very comfortable electric scooter. And coming to the warranty, Bajage is providing 3 years or 30,000 kilometers warranty on this electric scooter. And you’ll also have two options to upgrade the warranty. You will have an option to upgrade to 4 years or 40,000 km and 5 years or 50,000 km. Finally, coming to the price, the extra room cost of this electric scooter is 99,900 rupees. So, this is after subsidy and the onload cost varies between state to state, district to district and place to place. So to know the exact onroad cost of this 301 variant, please visit your nearest Chhattak dealership. So coming to my impressions, the handling is very good. It’s easy to ride but you have to get used to this regenerative braking thing. So there will be a bit power lag when you decelerate and when you try to accelerate this electric scooter. So if you get used to it you can easily ride this electric scooter without any effort. And basically considering the 3 kW battery pack it will take just three units to get it fully charged. And if you just stop up from 20 to 80% it will get it done in 2 hours 30 minutes as per the company claims. But my only complaint is regarding the display. So it’s not at all bright. You can’t even see the speedometer when you’re riding in fully bright sunlight. So Bajach has to definitely consider upgrading this display.
